Finally long beautiful natural hair that grows out instead of down! I'm about to wet myself...:ohwell: I've been thinking my hair would never "drop" but after seeing hair like this I cud care less! She has me so inspired to get my grow on!:afro:
 
Her hair, body and face are gorgeous! Wow!

Please don't let anyone discourage you from growing hair just because it will do its own thing and grow outwards or anything else. :)
 
Hmmm...maybe it's just me, but I see "out and down" when I see hair like this. Her hair is gorgeous and so is yours chocollinaprincess.
 
Her hair is beautiful, but it seems like it grows out and down.


My hair only drops when I blow it out, and even then it hardly drops. However, that shouldn't stop you from growing your hair out.

yeah but i see what the OP was saying. my hair grows more out than down. in fact it grew out first but eventually it did droop down. some people's only grows out and never droops. no biggie, it's still gorgeous. we can always manipulate our hair in a way to make it hang if we want with the right products and/or technique. :grin:

It's seems like her hair grows both out and down though...like the two directions are battling! :lachen: All kinds of curls too! So beautiful!
 
yea i guess ur rite it does grow out and down... it's seems like most of the long haired natural inspiration i see just grows down... well anyway she's beautiful!

Once your hair gets some more weight it will probably drop. My hair grows out-out-out-out, then drops. It will look shoulder unstretched, until it gets to about BSL stretched, then it will drop. Her curls dont look as defined as they could, which leads me to believe some of her hanging is due to some manipulation too.
 
I am guessing from your fotki that your hair is somewhat similar to hers. I have a hairtwin on Nappturality who has been growing hers for 10 years, I believe, it has not gone down unless she braids it.

So it really depends on the hairtype. Like I said, my hair is staying up and out.
 
it's kinda weird... i have this flat top thing goin on... like my hair grows out all around but not up... is anyone else like that?

I looked and can't find her on Nappturality. But her name was Alken and she had A LOT Of hair.
 
actually i read in an article that she doesn't liked to be asked about her hair and who she's dating and whatnot... she wants to be asked about her music and more important things..... Damn!

This is exactly what my sew in looks like (The first picture). The color is a tad bit lighter than the first picture. I re-did it last week. It is my regular everyday style. I have been wearing it off and on for a few years. Last year, I changed hair brands to achieve an even better look. So now it looks exactly like this. The same curl and everything. Recently, I have added face framing bangs. I like it. It is an easy style and my hair grows good while I am in my sew-in. I wash it and everything. It last me about 2/2.5 months and gets better the older it gets.

At the request of my mom, I tried the flower thing. It was cute and kinda flirty. Got alot of compliments. Will do it again.
