Naturals that use Ecostyle gel - How's the hold?

Is this a hard holding gel?

I want something with some REAL hold.

I don't mind crunchiness.

Hi Jada, I actually use Ecostyle gel but I use a creamy leave in under it because from what I heard if used alone it will make your hair crunchy...So I would say it holds pretty well.

I've been using the non-crunchy ones with medium hold, etc., but I'm not thrilled with those. I want my hair to stay the same from the time I walk out my house til I get home. If I want "softer" hold, I'll use a leave-in or one of those other gels.

It's not as strong as Fantasia IC gel but it defines the curls a lot better. You should be able to get an all day style out of it though.
