Hair that itches....

Can that mean it is growing?I wash my hair almost everyday and lately,it has been itching like crazy.Any suggestions why this may be happening besides the fact it may just be dirty?(I only shampoo maybe twice a week the rest of the days I cowash.

Girl, you hair is not dirty. Just because you don't use shampoo doesn't mean that it's dirty! I've been getting itchies too! Especially at the hair line. If it's an itch that feels regular I believe that to be growth. If it's an itch that burns, something is wrong.(just my opinion) Soooo, I think our hair is just growing!

My hair itches all the time. Even sometimes right after a wash. I wouldn't worry about it.

Is your scalp dry? My scalp itches when it's dry; but if it's not dry and it's itching; then I believe it's the growth.

If you have a seasonal growth pattern, Spring may be the cause of the itch. My scalp itches when it's going through a growth spurt, it's annoying because you know your hair isn't dirty and you know it's well moisturized.

I say chalk it up to growth.

Are you using any products on your scalp? That could be one of the reasons why you're getting the itchies.

I agree with the bolded b/c my scalp don't play with any product touching it and goes into itchy fits when my pores are clogged. This just lets me know that I need to shampoo. I can't conditioner wash due to scalp buildup, I have to shampoo.
