what kind of oil for an oil rinse

I just did an oil rinse for the second time in my life and I used sweet almond oil. It's a bit heavy but it worked great for detangling. I mixed with a little Suave Humectant and the denman just glided through my hair. I haven't detangled in two weeks and it took less time than it normally does.

I'm not the best with the hair stuff at all and I'm natural so detangling always gives me the :ohwell:. I DT overnight but all I had time to do this morning was rinse. I couldn't get out of the bed. LOL So this AM I rinsed it out slapped on some honey and olive oil by Qhemet and gel. Tonight I decided that I needed to finish what I started this morning. I came home co-washed the gel out of my hair, then I slathered some oil in my hair and started to detangle. My hair said :nono: "what you talking 'bout..." so I put some Suave Humectant detangled with my fingers first and then pulled out the shed hairs with the denman. It was great. I finished up with some Redken Butter treat amped with some honey and coconut oil and my hair is mmmmmmmm. It's drying now and it feels delish.

ETA: I got my sweet almond oil from GNC and the Suave from Target. You can get the sweet almond oil from www.vitacost.com for much cheaper. They have quick shipping and it's $4.99 for every order no matter the size. I got my jojoba oil from there and my veggie glycerin from there. They are great.
