So I'm 5 1/2 months post relaxer and my head looks a hot tail mess!!! I am sooooooo tempted to make an appointment for tuesday and get this mess relaxed. Braid outs don't work, twistouts don't work, a ponytail doesn't work, basically for the past week i've been walkin around here like who shot john:nono:. Trust me, it's not a good look. I want to go natural yall but this shyt is hard. Please provide your support/advice cause I'm going crazy

Are you wearing your hair straight? If so 3/4th inch flat irons are the TRUTH for roots. I got an inexpensive ceramic one from Walmart and use it for the roots after I flat iron down the length. it helps get the roots super straight!

During the week I usually co wash and use Fantasia IC gel (blue) to pull it into a bun. To make your hair lie flat you can put a sick scarf on your head tight after applying the IC gel. It will help smooth the hair down so it stays neat.

Thanks!!

Any other suggestions?

Girl, I've been where you are. All I could really do was condition, get some IC gel and slick that mess back into a bun with a cute headband. A phony pony is also an option. But soon enough I ended up chopping. Transitioning is hard. You gotta get creative.

And what's with this Who Shot John? Glamazon used this as a reference to her hair earlier and I'm confused.

You can start transitioning while wearing a wig until you get your hair into a good regime. Meanwhile, continue to look at the hair boards and you will eventually find a regimen that will work for you while you transition. Hang in there:yep:.
