yep...I looked at pics of my hair from last year this time....can we say absolutely zip, zero, zilch progress? :nono: All I can think is that it must mean that there's no where left to go but up...or down as in, down my back :yep:

That's how I feel when I look at the comparison pics in my siggy. I can't believe I didn't have more progress in a year :ohwell:.

Hello Sophisticated. Aaawww, you have the hair blues. I had it bad just a few weeks ago too. Im sure your hair is growing. This will cheer you up. A song from one of my fav movies that makes me laugh.

Now if that don't get u out that funk, I don't know what will. Hey, i tried.

lol funny...maybe im just getting anxious...im hitting my 6 month mark in a few weeks and im getting anxious to get my hair done

I definitely dont have any length progess.... I even had some demarcation breakage in the front.... but I figure at least whats left is natural and healthy and gettign thicker by the day

Some times more than others.
When I get to that point, I usually choose to start ignoring length progress, and just focus on health. Am I taking the right care of my hair? Am I stressing it somehow? Do I need to change up my routine/products? Am I taking care of myself? Eating right? Getting enough water? Filling in any nutritional gaps? Avoiding unneeded stress?
And if the answer to all of that is appropriate - then I know that I'm doing the best I can for my hair, and all I have to do is be patient, and it will grow.

i do :( it seems like my growth has slowed down or something

Yup - every day, every month, every year - and you can also tell from my progress pics (too big for my siggy - lol) that NOTHING is happening. the pic in my siggy is from the end of december 07. I've since trimmed so its shorter. btw - the trim was in january, and when i went to a diff salon in march they wanted to trim again and i said NO! this is getting ridiculous now. so besides feeling like its not growing, i feel like its getting shorter with every trim :wallbash:
and i follow all the 'rules' and loosely bun everyday. Im starting to give the belief of terminal length a second thought.
I'm just hoping (last hope) that when i totally transition into natural hair, it will somehow get better. crossing my fingers.........

This is a good way to think about it! I will have to start doing this. I don't feel like my edges have made any progress, that's for sure. :wallbash: But the rest of my hair seems to be growing. Feels like it has slowed down between March and now.

I get like this too! Every so often I feel like Im not making any progress and my hair is not growing! This feeling usually gets stronger during that time of the month (not sure what the correlation is). To keep me from going crazy I think back from whence I came. Even though my progress is slow there is still some progress. OP please don't be too down on yourself we all go through it!

Like most this happens to me too. My DH says are you crazy its growing. And even though I know it has lately it seems im at a standstill....:ohwell::ohwell:. I find it better when I don't tell others about my "Hair" When its more private its more personal and people who were naysayers from the beginning arent always looking for progress when they see you. It takes some of the pressure to perform off of me. Keep ya head up. We'll all make it.

Yes. YES. YES! I get mad new growth, don't see any breakage, but still don't see length progress. I just hope it's some kind of sick optical illusion.:perplexed

I feel the exact same and my pictures pretty much confirm it. My hair has barely grown but, I refuse to give up. I've been trying (half-heartedly) for 4 yrs, might as well keep going.

Well my hair was growing really fast from October to February but it has seemed to have just stopped.

Well I am not going to give up!! :boxing:I'm going to be consistent with my products and regimen! We can do this!

I don't just have the feeling. . . there are times when I KNOW my hair isn't getting an longer (in fact it's been the same length for over 4 months}, but when I stop to look at it, I generally notice that my layers are catching up and that new growth is filling in. The best thing to do is to back away from the measuring tape slowly.
