Frosted Miniwheats && Scalp Itchiness?!

Okay, so I'm kind of embarrassed to be talking about this, but I've been moisturizing, washing, and trimming, but my hair has bad frosted mini-wheats at the scalp. Plus it REALLY itches! I thought about maybe my hypoglycemia might have something to do with it, but I'm just not sure. :nono: Anyway, the only relief I can get is if I scratch my head [several times a day], and that causes a 'cool/menthol' or ~Invigorating~ feeling for a while.
Could it be hair growth? Thanks!

PS. I know this is WOT....but do any of you ladies know an affordable online-BSS that's reputable?

The shampoo I use is White Rain -- and it has both Ammonium Laureth Sulfate && Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate...(as the second && third ingredients)

Three things that really helped get my scalp into shape: 1: lemon juice - it's a natural treatment for dry itchy scalp and dandruff. I added it to my shampoo in an applicator bottle and it worked perfectly. 2: peppermint EO - add this to any oil that you use on your scalp ( very effective in a applicator bottle as well) and massage in - the tingles will cool and invigorate your scalp making it feel really really clean. 3: a topical sulfur treatment - I use scented BT and the sulfur really helped with the flake issues I had at the time. However, it's not absolutely necessary, I think any of these things alone would help.

My issue was product buildup - though I would wash and lather, b/c my hair is so thick not all my scalp was getting scrubbed. The applicator nozzle helps me get ALL of my scalp, and that ensures that all the build up is broken down and massaged away in the washing. HTH

i've had the same problem since i've started transitioning and doing more co-washes. i remember reading some reviews about tea tree oil shampoos for getting rid of flakes. has anyone used this with success?
