I woke up and say an informercial with a black lady crying about how her hair grew back so fast. So I looked them up. Would you try this product?

Ir depends on what else I may have tried. I can see the appeal though.
If I was at my wit's end, I would try it.

I don't think putting medicine on you hair will work. I think you hair gets its nutrients from somewhere else. The way your body works its not like the stash of vits are sitting at the roots waiting to be made into hair....the process starts elsewhere

No, I would not try this product...if you try googling "scalpmed scam" you'll get plenty of negative feedback on that stuff.

Nah not me I perfer the more natural appoarch to hair care.
the only "chemicals" I use are leave in conditioners, s-curl, mtg, and MN
and that's only because of the praise I have read about from the ladies on the board. I have a general mistrust of infomercials. I mean if something was really that great they would not have to "toot there own horn" Oprah would do it for them:grin: JMO.

Nope. I did a little research then I saw the ads and the auctions on eBay all filled with bids.

I think I would consider it I was having some biological hair loss problem of female pattern baldness, but even then there are cheaper options.

I am not mad at them for the marketing. They are bring in the $$$$ all because of the marketing. More power to them, but they taking people's money for no reason.

The products contain minoxidil, I believe. There are cheaper options if someone whats to use that. minoxidil was a red flag for me anyone because I thought this product was for those with some kind of hair loss problem - not an issue for me.

Like look at this lady: http://www.geocities.com/sherida_dvine/index.html

She obviously is having some medical problem or some chemical damage or something. I can see why she wanted an option like ScalpMed (again there are cheaper options).

But I don't think the product is good for someone that has healthy growing hair. Most likely a person like that should concentrate more on retention and not spend money on something like ScalpMed. just my opinion.

I saw this infomercial at 5 am this morning, and I was also curious about it.. thanks for the thread... and the replies!

On the bolded, isn't that minoxidil the one where if you used it for awhile, and your hair grows. Then after a certain amount of time, if you stop using it, your hair will either start shedding excessively or breaking off??? Correct me if I'm wrong, just seems like I read this somewhere on here, and just wanted to confirm whether this is true or not. Not that I want this product, I'm just concerned about that one ingredient mentioned.
