:grin:Fotki. I waanted to see gals ear lenght to neck length, the progress that you made, and how long it took you.

thanks

I am currently SL working towards APL by the end of the year. It took me a year to get to SL from EL. I used braids from March to about September and have been wearing my hiar out since then.

You're more than welcome to take a look, I didn't put a lot of detail in my fotki. The one thing I can say is that I noticed that there were months where I didn't really see length progress but noticed that my layers were growing out.

There's nothing too sexy there but have a look if you want!!

Check out my fotki. I went from bc to neck length in 9 months, and 9 months after that to SL, now I'm on my way APL, hopefully I'll be there by the end of the year.

That was very inspirational! Your pics look good! May I ask, How long was your stretch for a perm, and what perm did you use?

Yeah, I say yours also, that was a true inspiration for me. Thank you! You look very pretty, might I add!

My Fotki is in my siggy. I started at NL and I'm now 1-1.5 inches from APL. I've been seriously growing my hair for 10 months.

Thank you so much!! I think I went without a relaxer from Oct thru Apr but I wore braids so it was no big deal. I would co-wash every other day, used Infusium 23 leave in. I did flat iron my hair every other month when I got the braids redone.

I am about to go back to braids because I am shedding like crazy and don't want to suffer any serious setbacks.

Do you know where shedding is coming from? Was shedding you problem through your journey?

I came to this forum becuase I had serious breakag; I mean I'd have tiny little embarassing pieces of hair EVERYWHERE. Well, that stopped when I stopped relaxing and stepped up the moisturing. I've worn braids for so long, I'm just mad that I just found this site to teach me how to care for my hair while it is in braids.

My current shedding/breakage started in Dec but I wasn't seriously concerned because it was just my time to shed, you know. But when the shedding and breakage started last month accompanied by serious tangles, I got kind of upset.

I have gone back to my basic conditioners and have added Ms Key but I still have some breakage and it's a bit discouraging so it's back to the good ole standby of braids for me. I mean I enjoy my hair but I've come to far to get set back.

Yeah, I understand! I want to go to sew-ins, but I want a style that works for me. Long weave is pretty, but for some reasons it weighs my face down, I think:ohwell: When I found this site, I had a sew in, and took it out! But, all I had to do was oil my ages, and care for it more. In fact, I did care for it more, when I found this site. So when I took it down, not alot of hair came out. Do you dc with the braids?

My fotki is in my siggy...
Wow, your hair grew fast, also and looks so healthy. You gals have done a fine job in caring for your hair. Now do you wear protective styling?

I want to thank you gals for showing your pictures. Although you ladies are no longer short haired, you REALLY are more of an inspiration for us short haired chicks. If you all can do it, so can we.

I did DC my hair on Saturdays. I used the C&G method of hair care while they were in. I don't know if you're familiar with the site. It gives great tips on how to care for your hair while in braids and such.

I ordered the Afro detangler and used it to take my briads down and it really made a difference. But ended up using it for my niece and nephew more than for myself.
