How do you know and what does it mean about your hair. I think I may have an issue with different types in my hair which is why I ask, Thanks!

PS does it make a difference if your natural vs. relaxed?

I'm not sure but I think it's something like thinner than a piece of thread is considered a thin strand and the size of a piece of thread is considered a thick stand.

I have heard it that way as well.

Also, take a fine point pen and draw a line, thinner than the line is usually fine, if it is bigger than the line then normal-thick.

Fine strands are more fragile and can break easier than thicker strands. The front section of my hair is fine and therefore VERY delicate. I have to be very careful when combing that section, and too much product can cause it to break when I'm wearing braids or twists.

Ummm what do you call your strands if they're in-between the two? I just checked mine's using gymfreak's method, and mine's not thinner than the line, but it's also not too much bigger than the line neither.
