hi ladies
i'm trying to finalize my regimen and i'm happy with my products except that i dont have much shine, i'm not too big on oils cuz i feel like they weigh down my hair and i cant achieve "that swangin hair" and for some reason the serums dont do much for me, a tried a clear henna rinse but that didnt help either any suggestions?

I like to use Neutrogena Healing Shine Serum. It's very light and I use just a drop to distribute throughout my hair. Keeps my hair silky and weightless, eliminates frizz and leaves a nice shine! :yep:

Serums and oils weigh my fine hair down also. I use Giovanni "shine of the times" and I love it! HTH

i've been looking to try some organic products so i might give that giovanni a try

Diya, I just bought this serum last week, and I have yet to try it. Can you tell me when you use it? I was wondering if I could use it before my rollerset for shine...if not, I'll have to go buy Lacio Lacio.

Chocolatetai, I heard that Lacio Lacio is a good leave-in that gives good shine. I haven't used it yet, but many rave about it for giving shine. If the Healing Shine, does nothing for me, I will get the Lacio Lacio and let you know of the results.

A combo of castor and coconut oil gives me great shine.

Lacio Lacio leave in is great. I also use Aveda serum (what's it called, again? Something about "polishing drops")

A good deep conditioner. My personal faves are ORS Replenishing conditioner and Mizani Moisturfuse. Also a good leave-in such as Lacio Lacio or Silicon Mix leave-in. I always get high shine when I use these products. There is no need for me to add anything once my hair is dry.

After washing my hair I add a small amount of Frederick Fekkai Glossing Creme through my hair. When roller setting I add a few drops of castor oil to water then add to my ends. Bling city!!

Coconut oil gives great shine and does not weigh your hair down at all. I have fine relaxed hair and it never took away my "swang". A little dab is all you need.

i use this as well. i like how light it is. i also use ORS oil sheen. i like the spray b/c it evenly distributes better.

Coconut oil or CHI Straight Guard Smoothing Cream

Coconut Oil & A little Lacio Lacio is all I need.

Cold water rinses, serums, Beyond The Zone or John Frieda's Clear Shine and coconut oil.
