Sorry some pics are so big, I couldn't make them smaller:ohwell:

I have been having problems with the front of my hair being too long for bangs so here is what I do to make bangs in the front, but you can also do it to make coils wherever you need/want them (maybe in a 4a/4b part in the midst of 3c??)

Step one, have some styling gel, I prefer Fantasia IC and a pen/marker of whatever size you want the coils to be:

Next, put a little gel on the pieces you want to coils(this area for me is usually already coated with leave in conditioner or it will be crunchy and dry:nono:.) I try to do them as small as possible b/c big chunks don't look as good to me but to each his own:yep:

Here's the tricky part, depending on what your want. Lately I have been holding it in place for about 10 seconds, then I place my thumb and index finger at the bottom of where my hair ends on the end, then I slide the marker down while still holding my fingers under the hair. This helps make them shorter. Or you can make them longer by pulling it down like this:

This one is a little longer than I usually do it but here is the end product:

I usually do about 5-6 across the front for an end look like this:

Problem solved! (Until my hair gets a little more even :-) )

Hope this is helpful!!:grin::grin::grin:

is you hair dry???? thanks

Your hair is so shiny and purdy! Thanks for this, I'm gonna try this on my dd :yep:

Brock...you are too cute! I usually do them w/ my fingers, but your coils came out so much better than mine. I will definately be trying this tonight:grin:

That is too cute and innovative, Brockstar! Thanks for sharing with us. I would love to try this all over, although I'm currently battling a chronic case of hair-laziness. Do you let it airdry after setting?
