It has been STRANGELY QUIET on this subject. What is really happening out there in growth land lengthwise and thicker hair, any more news?

I dont know about anybody else but I started using BT again now that I'm relaxed and it still doing its thang!

I quit using it before b/c I didnt want my hair to grow anymore. Matter of fact I was going to cut it if I remained natural.

You quit WHAT because you did not want your hair to WHAT? Please lay this out for a sistah.....So are you saying that if you had remained natural your hair would have grown TOO MUCH, if you kept using it? Gimme that problem. Please please explain....lol bonjour

No no no no !!! Lemme explain!

My hair was getting so long and so big that it was uncontrollable and I couldnt do anything with it anymore. I was going to cut off about 6 inches so that I could wear WNG's and puffs and things. It got so thick and long that I really couldnt do anything with my hair except twist it up or braid it. It got boring. So it was either cut it and remain natural or relax it (in my case texturize it) and not cut it. To keep the peace in my house I chose to relax it.

I stopped using it for a while because I wanted my relaxer to last longer. when I was using it last year I could only stretch for max 3 months and that was stretching iterplexed. I haven't used it since last year, but have been washing my hair every week and I'm stretching going on 4 months now without that much growth, though I do have a lot of growth, let's just say if I was on BT I would be at Full (no denying)BSL by now.

Another thing is that I'm seeing someone who loves playing in my hair and I don't want to scare him off with the smell. I have both the fragrance and regular but not everyone can stand the smell. I will start back up again soon, infact this week. I'm ready for that BSL.

Oh, while on BT on the reg I went from SL to APL in 6 months.

When I used it I used small drops on my finger tips and rubbed it in every two days. When I first got it I was going crazy and squirting it, but that left my head running with oil...lol. I eventually went towards gradually decreasing my usage because as I said above I didn't want my relaxer to fade.

So far this year I've only had one relaxer and I'm hoping I can go with just two/year.

That's what I have to avoid, being "heavy handed" with product, cause my hair strands are fine and get weighed down and coated too quickly. I need to do the finger thing, I think, cause no matter how I try when I use a spout with tiny hole, too much comes out. Thanks a bunch!!! bonjour

In 6 months? Girl, stop. Ohhh, I can't wait until mine's arrive. Right now my edges and the front of my head are so thin it's ridiculous. I'm new to the forum and BT received such rave reviews for growing and thickening hair that I had to buy it. I'm transitioning and hoping it will give me just what I need to start me on my hair journey.

I started my second bottle tonight, after a few months away from it. I've been alternating between an MN mix and BT - both work well for me, but until this second bottle is used up, Ill be using BT exclusively.

I went from alittle above SL to APL in 6 months also. I was in a hurry to grow my hair back b/c the only reason I cut it was due to stylist damage. I'm happy though b/c I bascially have a whole new head of hair that I grew this year thanks in BT!

Oh - I've always had thick hair, so I'm not sure that it got thicker, but it was definitely more resistant to relaxers, which made me think it was stronger and less porous.
