I ended up buying flexi rods bc of the price. I don't see curlformers coming into my hair budget anytime soon, even with the 15% off coupon. That is a few months of my hair budget

What does a curlformer look like?

I like flexirods better because they give a fuller set. A lot of the curlformer sets looks really flat/thin to me

Agreeing- IMO, the curlformer curls look like curling iron curls. I like fuller looking curls, especially at the ends of the hair.

flexirods - because that is what i have .. Tbhey are cheap and depending on how i roll my hair and how much hair i roll , i can get big drop curls , small drop curls or big model curls

I think it depends on the type of hair you have: relaxed, texlaxed or natural. I did a curlformers review (in my FOTKI, April 2008 folder) and for the money you spend, curlformers added no additional benefits to my relaxed hair. For my relaxed hair, I like the flexirods...:yep: As I transition on to natural, I believe the curlformers will give me greater benefit...:yep:

Agreed. I don't like the curls that you get from curlformers. I have some gray flexirods that I have yet to use and from what I have seen from pics of some of the ladies on here, the flexirods give fuller, bigger jucier curls.

It's so funny that this thread came up because I woke up this morning with te conscious decision to go to Sally's and get either curlformers or flexirods (or both). Please keep the opinions coming!!

I just used my Curlformers for the first time in a while yesterday and it was great. Felt good to pull them out and use them again. I think I'll be alternating between those and rollersets for the cooler months.

I have always wanted to try them but I can't see myself paying 8.99 a pack when the flexirods are 1.99 @ my local BSS or the perm rods are 1.59 a pack.
