She's a 90 year old cancer patient and my heart goes out to her.
I want to buy her some pretty scarves...

Any tips?

I am thinking maybe cotton scarves would be better. I am guessing that she has had chemo, which would make her bald, so the silk scarf would be too slippery for her head. The best place to get scarves is on Ebay. I have beautiful scarves from the 60s in some of the most interesting patterns that I know I will never see anybody with. Plus the price can't be beat.

co-signing. I shaved my head a month or so ago and the silk scarfs I had were slipping all over my head. I would definately rec cotton instead. Target has some pretty scarfs(can't remember if they were cotton or satin, though). Also, try Clarie's, Kohl's, TJMaxx, and Marshall's. My prays are with her and you are such a sweetie for doing this. Blessings to both of you.

Your suggestion for Claire's and Kohl are probably better. I would suggest Ebay for people like us who are out and about who dress to impress, I guess for a 90 year old woman who is sickly, a scarf from TJMaxx or Marshalls would do and be just as beautiful.

I was just about to suggest Old Navy because they have pretty silk scarves on sale. However, it seems like you have decided on cotton scarves for your friend. BTW, what a nice gesture, I'm sure she'll appreciate you for it.

Be careful with the dyes in the scarfs though. Chemo patients are extra sensitive to stuff like that.
