Please tell me yes. Sometimes my scalp itches like nobody's business. Now I knowt he Biotin had me tripping for a couple of weeks when I first started taking it but it was neck and shoulder area. Please tell me my hair is growing.:look:

Some people say it does, but I don't believe it's always the case because for me, itching was a sign something was wrong. The bald spot I had in 2003 used to itch like no one's business. So any unusual feeling in my scalp doesn't make me celebrate but rather massage my scalp with more zeal to encourage circulation and hence nourishment to the follicles. Better safe than sorry.

Just my opinion..I always thought an itchy scalp meant that it was either dry, dirty, or that you had something wrong with it (like lice or a fungus)...I would think that constant scratching would lead to you cutting your scalp with your fingernails and possibly getting an infection and/or damaging the hair shaft by cutting it.

IMO, itching means that it's time to clean the scalp:lachen::lachen:

Seriously, though, it could mean you have a scalp condition like dermatitis, dandruff, eczema, or some scalp infections; it could also be caused by the harsher elements of the weather, or even from stress. Some hair products can cause itching as well. So, the practical thing to do is to start assessing the products you're putting on your scalp, taking note of when the itching occurs, etc., so you can begin to narrow down the possible causes of your itchy scalp.

hair is always growing... an ive never had itchie scalp unless it was dry, or i cleaned it too much.....

Uh, no fungus and whatnot here. :nono: Like whenever it's time for a touch up, my scalp gets very tender but um, no fungus stuff. Homie don't play that.

I agree....

Mine used to itch bad when I had dandruff or used a shampoo with sulfates.

ACV rinses, SLS-free shampoo and jojoba oil on my scalp have taken care of that problem for me.

It could be that you are allergic to something in your relaxer or one of your hair products. I had a bad allergy from PPD found in hair color and I had to switch to henna.
