so, i'm a natural (4-type) who's gotten horrible results whenever i've tried to do anything heat-wise to my hair. blowdrying...flat ironing...it's all turned out a mess. no matter what moisturizers or other things i've tried...no luck.

i bought this stuff today while looking around in harmon discount beauty.

omg...

i'd have to say thanks to this product, this was my best blowdry/flat iron attempt yet.

my hair is SOFT (unlike any other time i've attempted heat styling)
my hair is NOT POOFY (like it usually is)
my ENDS DONT FEEL HORRIBLE (like they usually do)

what i did:

i had taken my 2 weekd old twists down earlier in the evening
and then i deep conditioned on dry hair (kenra mc, herbal essences LTR and a little grapeseed oil) for about 3 or 4 hours
rinsed (without shampooing), detangled
gently towel squeezed and added NTM silk touch
and grapeseed oil to seal.
let that seep into my hair for a little while
then added the organix blow dry cream in sections
i also used a little CHI silk infusion on each section
and blowdried.

i then flat ironed

i didnt take any pictures of my hair
but i might tomorrow

this stuff even worked with me using my mother's not-so-great blowdryer
i'll probably get a better one of my own sometime soon.

here are the ingredients:

Propylene Glycol, Water, Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, PVP/VA Copolymer, Trideceth-6, Quaternium-15, Chamomile Extract, Keratin Protein, Silk Protein Amino Complex, Shea Butter, Tocophery, Vitamin E, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance.

has anyone else tried this product?

i've never seen this before and i'm glad you found something that works for you.

Soft, silky, vanilla silk makes the product sound like it's gooooood

yeah, i hadnt seen it/known about it until today, actually
i knew about the organix lines
and i had tried the vanilla silk conditioner
quite a while ago

smells like good stuff, too.

it's always good to find something that works for you!

I was thisclose to picking up a couple of their conditioners in CVS the other night. They smell absolutely yummy! Not to mention that after the mail-in rebate you get the product for FREE!

a suggestion if you try it...

dont use too much like i did!!! haha

because
- you can end up with white residue
- there are proteins in it.

i'm always too heavy handed with things
i'll lighten up on it next go 'round

If I wasn't broke right now I'd be speeding to the nearest Walgreens...

I have the Coconut conditioner, coconut milk leave in, and the Shea Butter conditioner.

The Coconut Conditioner is very moisturizing, to the point where my hair gets mushy if I leave it in, so I try not to use it much unless I want to DC with it on my hair if it is dried out.

The Shea Butter Conditionr is the best conditioner I have ever used. I have prepooed with it, DCd with it, and just plain conditioned with it and even used it as a leave in. If I was on an island... thats what I would take.

The coconut milk leave-in is awesome too, and I love the smell.

I can't wait till I get some cash to go get this because I will be running out of Giovanni Direct and want something cheaper..

i havent used any of the other lines
i've only tried the vanilla stuff

i might have to check some of the other stuff out now!

Ok, definitely going back to CVS to pick up a couple of these conditioners. I stood in the aisle for 5 minutes smelling them all and trying to decide which I needed more, conditioner or nail polish?:lachen: Nail polish won out that day but I'm going back!:yep:

I just bought the Vanilla Silk. I wish I could wash tonight but I just don't need to.

I can't wait till Friday to try this one.

I am running out of Shea Butter, have plenty of Coconut and now I have the Vanilla Silk conditioner. I know I'm getting to be completely obsessed. I plan to get all the styling products after I get paid next month:drunk:

I LOVE this stuff!

Shucks!! I went to Walgreens this afternoon to buy it....they don't carry the blow dry cream:nono:

ETA: Ohhhh....it's in CVS:wallbash:. I'll have my bottle tomorrow then lolz!

they're having a buy one get one free sale on organix products at Safeway (and some other items too)...I never knew safeway sold CHI, jason, giovanni direct, nexxus, and all that....and they have great sales too! I'll have to actually go into the beauty aisle more often

I picked up the coconut milk conditioner and split end mender cream..they smell soooo good...but I haven't used it yet

I bought the conditioners. Vanilla Silk, Coconut Milk, and Shea Butter.

Can't wait to try them!

Ok, I have cw with the Coconut and Shea Butter so far and they smell absolutely heavenly. However, they are too average for me to justify paying $6.99 for them. I'm fine with a conditioner being average if it's only going to be used for cw but I can pay 99 cents for a bottle of VO5 and get that.

Not ruling out buying at least one of them again though because they do smell really yummy.:look:
