What Hairstyle for Concert? ETA PICS! first post.

Okay, so this is the hair style I went with. I loved it and it warmed up a little so my hair felt pretty good for a change. Oh, and I am officially in love with Jill Scott now. Raheem Devaughn wasn't bad, either. click for bigger pics.

So, I'm going to a concert tomorrow. For the first time in 20 years! That's right, the last time I went to a concert was 1988 and I was 10 years old. So anyway, I want to look cute. Or more accurately, I want my hair to look hot. No regular everyday, not going for classy, going for wild and funky. How should I do my hair? Please keep in mind that I cannot straighten my hair and I have limited cornrowing and flat twisting skills. I can do a few, but not a whole lot and I can't do really elaborate designs. I have several hair ornament things and I definitely want to use one of them. Here are the choices:

Flowery Hair Things (I have more shapes and colors)

Clippy Hair Things (these are a little boring)

Sparkly Hair Things (I would love to somehow wear the pink one; I can make 12 of the blue bobby pins)

So what do you guys think?

Ha that's funny cuz I'm going to a concert in MAY and was discussing with someone yesterday how I should wear my hair (like it matters) :lachen:

Hmm well I don't know what kind of concert you're going to but I tend to get hot & sweaty at concerts so I'd definitely recommend some kind of updo. Maybe an elaborate bun with one of those flower things tucked behind your ear?

It's usually pretty futile to try to look cute at a concert though.

^^^See, this just goes to show how little I know of concerts. That last concert from 1988 was outdoors and not sweaty at all. People were in bleachers like a sports game or something. And then there were gunshots. I suppose I might have been sweating a little as we ran away. :ohwell:

It's a Jill Scott concert, btw. What's yours?

Okay, elaborate bun. Does anyone know how to make a fancy bun on natural 4b hair that's my length?

I like the flower ones. I missed Jill Scott when she came to my city, my mom said the concert was great!

I was thinking afrohawk too.

Or, a bunch of twists all pulled so that they stick straight up like a crown, held up by bobby pins, with maybe a few hanging down into your face or on the back of your neck.

Thanks, I am definitely most intrigued by the frohawk. Just 2 or 3 braids on each side, maybe, and the rest pinned up, I'm thinking?

I like the style you posted. It looks very nice. Jill will have a nice do too.. so take notes and pics!!! :yep:

It's a rock concert and I'm gonna be in the mosh pit so...yeah....sweatiness.

That hairstyle is ridiculously cute! I love it.
