I can't state anything that hasn't already been mentioned...so I'll just say

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

You've done an amazing job!!!!

Now, post that regimen that we're all clamoring for:sekret:

**Not that my hair would ever look like yours even if I follow it to the letter**

Dsylla, can you please post your regimen?

Sure thing :)

I have to first say that my regimen is changing because my hair has been shedding.

I frequently conditioner wash (3 - 5 times a week) and I let it air dry. I use heat 1 or twice a month on a low setting. I never aim to get it super straight as I like my hair with body and texture.

I'm texlaxed and I relax every 8 - 13 weeks. I leave the relaxer on for 5 minutes with little to no smoothing. I am thinking about transitioning or doing loonnng stretches.

I  CON shampoo, but I'm trying to move away from it and go a more healthy route. For instance, when I hope in the shower to wash my hair, I'll detangle with CON, but then I wash it out with Burt Bee's shampoo, which is PH balanced. (thanks Gymfreak)

I was using SAA in my products but I think i'm allergic.

My staples at the moment are Emu oil (still investigating...)
CHI Silk infusion
Lekair Cholestorol

I  flexi rods.

I do green smoothies for hair (thanks Vester!) and I take the following supplements:

Flax Seed Oil by Spectrum - thanks Isis
MSM
Green Vibrance in my smoothies
MegaFood Women's One Daily
Calcium with Magnesium
Iron
Digest More Ultra (when needed)
Milk thistle when I remember

I work out 3 - 5 times a week and I believe that was been a major contributor to my hair growth.

:)

I think you are waist length :yep: the strand is longer than waist. Regardless, by the end of spring all your hair should have caught up to "the strand" :drunk:

I might just claim that ****!

WOW, that's such amazing growth in such a short time! You've been one of my hair idols since I found LHCF. You are definitely waistlength...I'd claim it

your hair is fabulous!!!

btw how often do you detangle?
and what kind of styling tools do u use?

Hi everyone,

I'm not exactly a newbie because i have lurked since 12/05 then i finally joined early in 2006 but never posted. (i was busy with school, work, etc)
DSylla has been one of my hair idols here. (Congratulations girl, you're hair is absolutely beautiful) :yay::yay:
I am natural (last relaxer was 7/99) who now presses once a week or every 12 days or so. (I seem to have less shedding/knots if I add heat to my hair) My hair is 4a/b and i wonder if texturizing or texlaxing has contributed to your growth compared to when you were totally natural. Since if your texlaxed or texturized you can do con-washes frequently during the week. From all the posts that I have ever read, it seems that those who wash/con-wash frequently have faster growth.

Any thoughts?

I detangle approx 2 - 3 times a week.

I have a big and small tooth comb, some elastic "rubber" bands, my beloved flexi rods and a maxi glide that I use approx twice a month.

Thanks for the nice compliments ladies :)

Hi and welcome

I was never totally natural. I transitioned for 7 months when I first joined lhcf. Looking back, i think one of the reasons I failed my transition is because I was new and I didn't really understand my hair.

I am very tempted to try again.

for me, texlaxing allowed me to see length, but i'm not sure if it grew any faster. con-washes definitely allows me to retain length. :yep:
