I love flexi rods. I just bought a boat load of rods from ebay a few weeks ago that will last me the rest of my life so I refuse to buy those Curlformers no matter how much people rave .

Cool. It seems like they would cut my drying time down under Mr. Pibbs. I can't wait to give them a try!!!! :drunk:

I love em! If I put moisturizer on dry straight hair and put em in, I have Beyonce curls in the morning!

Flexirods are on my to try list once I get magnetic rollers down. I got the mesh rollers down. If with the flexi's I can get results similar to the curlformers then bring it on!

I love my flexirods. I couldn't even be interested in curlformers once I saw the hook and the pulling that is involved. Flexirods don't hurt me and yes I am tenderheaded.

I bought a pack of blue flexi rods (4-jumbo sized) over a year ago. I planned to use a couple of them on my straight ends to give some wave and body, but I haven't used them yet...one day I will....

I like this idea! I'm going to try this...Thanks!

ETA: Shtow, do you use ends papers with these?

LOL, use them please so you can report back with the results! I will try them today as soon as I can tear myself off this site. :perplexed

Umm. I have been trying to do magnetic rollers since 2006, and I still can't make mine look pretty.

At the same time, I DIYed flexirods last weekend for my first time using D Lewis's tutorial. Guess what? I looked as if I had just stepped out of the salon. Put those magnetic rods down, and go to the flexirods:yep:.

I just tried Curlformers and hated them. I took them back. I'd choose flexirods any day only because they give me tight spiral curls, not loose, curling iron curls like Curlformers do.

Nope. I have never used end papers a day in my life:grin:. If your moisturizer is moisturizing enough, it should hold.

Great! Thanks for responding.

Jamila, I'm sure your hair will be gorgeous. I didn't mean to hijack your thread, but ya'll really have me excited to try these now. Thanks for the encouragement, ladies. *off to blow the dust off my flexi rods.*

That's what I do too, even when I go out I use my holding spray (jane carter), and my curls last all night. I just set it for 1/2 hour. Love it. Perfect hair!

I personally love flexirods and don't plan on buying curlformers. I guess I'm just cheap b/c I refuse to pay $10 for one pack of rollers.:nono:

I'm a flexirods fan:D There are a couple pics in my Fotki. I really like them since they give big bouncy curls and are easy to sleep in:up:

Love them, I got that monster deal on ebay that everybody was talking about. total, i paid 26.50 for over one hundred flexis and over one hundred (I'm sure) perm rods (that all including shipping, plus 6.50 for the price, it would have been 3 but somebody got in a bidding war with me) so I'm straight.

I used them for the first time two weeks ago and I love them! I can't wait to use them again. They are easy, you can sleep in them and the curls can look diff. depending on how you do it. It's also very little manipulation on the hair.

Now see I may need to get some curlformers because I want LOOSE spriral curls in my natural hair. I have flexies haven't used them in a while but even when my hair was textlaxed I always thought the flexi rod curls were TOO skinny for me. I love big voluminous hair. Maybe I should just air dry and use a spiral curling iron. :ohwell:

ETA: I going to break out my flexi's today and use DLewi's tutorial. I'll report back if they come out good. :look:

I used the blue flexirods and I hated them

Problems:
roots came out super curly
took long time to dry
hard to twist at the roots because these are so large
once in, it's hard to get my large head along with the blue flexirods under the dryer

I would recommend getting the gray ones, that's the perfect size.

Girl, I can't believe you don't like the blues. The grey makes my curls too tight.:nono:

jamila, have you tried the flexirods yet? I think I'm finally gonna break down and buy some. I was wondering how you liked them.
