Hi ladies!

As many of you may or may not know, I've been transistioning for the past 10 months. I was getting pretty frustrated because I felt like I couldn't do anything with my hair and I wasn't ready to relax yet.

I went to my hairdresser on 2/29 and he said that I had a lot of breakage (thanks to my two visits to the Dominican salon:wallbash:) and that I should cut my hair. He suggested an inverted bob and I said ok.

I went from BSL to not even SL but, I am so happy with my decision:grin:. My hair is some much easier to manage and my texture is so much more defined.
Now that I've cut it though I think I will go ahead and relax it at the 1 year mark:ohwell:.

This was my hair before the cut:

My hair length now (sorry for the blurry pics, I couldn't find my camera):

I'm glad you are happy. Why are you planning on relaxing again so soon? You've come so far...I imagine most of your hair is natural now. Why not give yourself a few months before relaxing--don't mean to meddle, just a suggestion.

I like the cut, Candiel. It looks sophisticated.

I was going to say the same thing.

Yeah, the back of my hair is completely natural now but I guess I just feel too lazy to deal with it:ohwell:. I probably will wait a little while after I make it to 1 year to see how I feel then.

You look beautiful!!!!

Thanks so much ladies!!

I'm still getting used to it because I'm so used to having long hair. I missed it so much for the first few days but, I really love it.:yep:

Wow, Nice cut, I luv bob cuts  Where exactly was your hair breaking or damaged?

Thanks, TLC! Mostly in the middle and the back. I had a little breakage in the front but, I also got bangs cut to get rid of that. I didn't comb them down in the pics.

Your hair cut looks absolutely gorgeous.

Sometimes I wish my hair had some shape to it.

I loved my hair when it was cut like that (a whole lotta years ago).

Sigh....................

Pretty! Your hair looks GREAT!! :)

I love that cut! and it's just hair....it'll grow back! :yep:

love it!!! but the before pic your hair looked really healthy to me though.. but your hair is still fab and nice cut for the spring.

Yeah, the before pic was before my two visits to the Dominican salon:nono:. It was pretty healthy then.

WOW! That was a major cut, but it's sooooooo pretty. I'm sure you must be having fun styling and working it.

Re: styling, how is that working out? I know you're deep into a transition so are you having issues with it getting poofy? It seems that a style that length and that cut would require that it be kept sleek to maintain the style, but I could be wrong.

I agree with hopeful re: going natural. You've practically done the big chop, and it looks AMAZING! It's at least worth a shot since you're so close. And of course, if you don't like it, you can always relax. :yep:

Very nice! It looks great on you.

Sometimes I wish that I had the nerve to cut my hair. I think I enjoyed my hair more when it was shorter. :ohwell:

I looked in your fotki yesterday, checking to see if you had updated since you were transitioning. Why are you planning to relax if you are going natural:drunk:! The cut looks really cute on you, but I was inlove with your long hair.

Divine Inspiration, you are so right :yep:. I do have to flat iron and wrap my hair for the first two to three days after I wash it to make it lay down:perplexed.

When I go to my hairdresser though, my hair stays very sleek until I wash it. I just wrap it at night.

Thanks janeemat!! I guess I miss the convenience of my relaxed hair. I get tired of trying to figure out things to do with it and I don't have the patience sometimes. But, I might change my mind.

I'm sure either way will look good on you. So, are you saying that just two blowouts damaged your hair. I had one done if Feb with 11wks post. It was my first one, but I did not suffer any damage. The heat is so hot, it will be a long time before I get another done.

I also agree.

Yes, my hair became so dry and the lady complained the whole time she did my hair. I did not have a good experience with them at all.:nono:

OMG - you are so brave. it looks sooooo cute, but DONT RELAX IT! ok - so u really dont have to listen to me, but i wanted to say that anyway . It looks good and is probably much stronger/thicker this way. im just trying to convert u - lol.

Very pretty! :yep:

ETA: I am so shocked that you cut it! When I saw who posted, I said to myself, "isn't her hair like BS length???"

Did you really have that much damage??? To go from down your back to above your shoulders?

It is very cute though!

CANDIEL!!! OH. MY. GOSH. :dizzy: I am going DIZZY!:dizzy: There is something in the water! :dizzy: All of you long-haired beauties are doing the chop!!!! :naughty: Now you know you could have saved that hair in a baggy and given it to me...I would have made a weave track!!!!! :lachen::lachen:

The bob is so cute!!!!!! You remind me of Lauren450 and Sleek, where you all look great long or short! Now I cannot wait to see where your journey goes from here.
