Hello ladies! This is my first weave since I have been on LHCF and I don't know how to properly care for my hair underneath!! :wallbash: I have most of my hair braid vertically and the edges are out. I've been putting Aphogee Essential Oils on my scalp, but that's it. Should I be doing something else to protect my hair and help it grow??:perplexed

For a simpler style, I'd just wash and condition (my roots) regularly. For a more difficult styles such as mine, it's kinda hard to wash deep waved extentions and still look good, so I just use the MN every 2-3 days and oil my hair with vatika coconut oil. It's been working wonderfuly... I've noticed a lot of new growth and I've only had it in my hair for only 2 months.

How do you wash just the roots?

:bump:

Im about to get a sew-in myself in mid- April.

How often is good to wash?

How should you care for the exposed hair without having oily weave?

check out www.growafrohairlong.com she's got a decent routine for weave care:yep: to wash and DC in a weave the applicator bottle will be your best friend dilute conditioner/ shampoo in an applicator bottle and aim for your roots- you can also DC this way, be sure after rinsing thoroughly to leave the extensions down so the weft dries out, I washed and DC-ed at least once a week with good results. Good luck
