I am considering going natural what was your regime doing the transition
and what advice can you offer to me. I too do not want to do the big chop.
In the begining, I did a lot of conditioner washing and throughout the entire transition, I have worn a lot of phony ponies. I use Fanataisia IC gel for color treated hair, put my hair in a bun and put a phony pony over it. I usually spray the bun with some type of moisturizer (I really haven't found one I'm in love with yet) and seal with oil every night and tie a scarf around it.
I do not brush or comb it unless I just washed it. I conditioner wash after 3 or four days and wash with CON once a week. I also clarify every 3 weeks or so. When I wear my hair down, I always use Pantene Extra Liso for my last conditioner because it helps keep my hair straight. I then roller set and flat iron.
I also do wash and go's, braid outs and buns. I have continued to use silicon products this entire time because I have too much of a hard time without them. Anyway, I think the key is protective styling and moisture. A lot of people told me I wouldn't be able to transition without BCing
