You loved modeling and wanted to try out for ANTM and made it and you grew your hair from sl to full bsl and they wanted to cut your hair like a boy or close to it, would you let them?:perplexed Im asking because Im going to be trying out for top model nexxt yr(hopefully)

As they always tell the girls on the show, a willingness to change yourself to suit a 'type' is a huge asset for a model.

With that said - I'm not the modeling type :look: nor am I in the military, cuz I don't like anyone but me being able to dictate my appearance.....

I would never want to be on ANTM, but I would have no problem cutting my hair for something that was important to me. I would cut my hair from waist length to 1 in for something that means a lot to me. Hair grows back!

It wouldn't happen. They can create the SAME LOOK with a weave or a wig. All that chopping off your hair stuff is for the birds.

Good luck on the tryouts! Do that fierce walk and powerful turn and bring that personality A game.

Well I am a believer to the fact tht if you want something bad enough you will do what you need to, reasonably, to get there.

Now those who go on the show now, since they have had numerious seasons should not be on their crying. It is a well known fact that they are quick to cut hair.

With that said, if modeling was a career that I was striving for, then YES I would cut it off.

Okay! I am with you on this part! But I guess if you want it bad enough then go for it, and then you still might not win and then go home Bald Headed! I agree they can create the Bald look without cutting or shaving the hair off. But I guess it is determintation or how much you really want it:yep:

Before you actually join the show ask the producers if they will allow you to get the short hair styles by way of a weave (they let the short haired girls get long hair styles by way of a weave, why not do it in reverse...kwim?)...I wouldn't want to spend all this time growing my hair out just to have them cut it all off on a "what if"... :nono:

Let us know when you join the show so we can cheer you on. GL

Well seeing how none of these girls on Top Model actually have a great modeling career except for Yaya and Eva (occasionally), IT TAINT WORTH IT MISS CELIE!

point # 1 They didn't cut Achel's hair (the gorgeous Indian girl), only a slight trim

point # 2 Since stylists like to go opposite, maybe you should join with your hair weaved into a short style so they can have fun letting your real hair down.:yep:

Good luck girl.

To answer your question, "h:censored:ll NO". But then again, like Nappy stated, this is a requirement of the modeling game. ALTHOUGH, with all the new hair technology (lace front wigs for example) they can work around it if you are THE ONE!

Keep us posted. I'm giddy to know that I exchanged words with a celebrity!

Aww that was too sweet! But I have a ways to go I wanna lose like 30 lbs before I tryout Im going to definitely keep you all posted.

I agree w/what everyone else said. I would ask Tyra why I couldn't just wear a short lacefront, like how she wears a long one.

BRILLIANT! if i were ever to try out for ANTM i think i'd do this. i'd lie in a minute and say, "oh gee i never wear my natural hair out... always keep it braided up under straight-haired weaves." i could conjour up a few fake tears to make it believable... :lachen:

If modeling was my dream:

I'm sorry, but YES, I would let them cut my hair however they wanted. If you're young enough to qualify to be on the show, you'll have plenty of time to let your hair grow back. I don't believe I have the face for a close cut so Tyra would never! haha She usually picks the girls with super strong (man) features & high cheek bones for those close cuts.

They don't even change your hair until the get down to the final few. So if you make it to the final 12 or whatever it is, that would be a chance of a lifetime! All those designers, photographers and fancy clothes... wonderful!

Sometimes you gotta grab life by the horns if you want something bad enough.

But since it's NOT my dream, I'd be like the girl last week...

"I wanna go home!" hahaa :lachen::lachen::lachen:

I think it boils down to what you love/want more. For me, it's not modelling but thats why I am not trying out!!

I do like the idea of weaving it up before going though :yep:

Thanks!
