Last night I wanted to wash my hair, but did not want to do the whole rollersetting process. Instead I just did all of my routine in the shower (Alter Ego is the BOMB yall) and when I combed through I just wet wrapped b/c it was really easy to. Slapped on my net and sat under my pibbs.

Ok, my hair dried completely in 25 minutes on the highest speed. I blew the roots out a little and re-wrapped. I was so shocked & happy with the silkiness and smooth ends as if I did a rollerset. So now I took it out and pin curled and will wait to see the results.

So don't sleep on the wet wraps if u have some good slip and no tangles :)

ETA: I used a wide tooth comb and a soft bristle brush to smooth it out and I am currently 2 weeks post relaxer. So this might be a good thing until my roots get hectic.

I was thinking the same thing. I've been trying to keep my hair off of my neckline though until it grows out more. But I'm already getting tired of rollersets:yawn:. I'm definitely gonna do it to see how it looks though.

I haven't done that in years. What did you use to set with before you wet wraped it. I may just have to give this a try this weekend since I just got a relaxer. My slip should be pretty good. And what alter ego product did you use

I love wet wraps use to get them all the time "back in the day" ... but now since I have a Pibbs maybe I will try it out again ... my hair just takes so long to dry when I wet wrap.

I have not done a wet wrap in years. I stopped doing them when I realized that the regular wrapping was thinning my hair out. Although I do not think that the occasional wet wrap will do much harm. My only concern is that my roots are a bit bushy.

Unfortunately, a wet wrap is about the only thing I can do with my current length. It's growing quickly, so I'll be roller setting in no time!

Thanks for sharing!!! ok gimme the scoop what alter ego product are you using??

Alter Ego Linseed Oil shampoo & conditioner. The conditioner can be used as a deep co since it says leave on 5-10 minutes and it's a worthy alternate to the garlic treatment.

Do you think you can do this with 13 week post newgrowth?

I'm not too sure. You might have to blow out the roots.

That's cool b/c you can still get that rollerset look :yep:
