I have been taking AZO yeast tablets because I have gotten lazy about putting my MN on my hair (yah, I know< I am in the challenge) but I have been taking them for about 3 weeks and my hair itches are gone so my question is do you think that taking AZO will give me the same results as putting MN on my hair? :look: :look:

I have some AZO Yeast tabs too...I would like to know as well.

Well...the active ingredients are completely different and I think AZO is more preventative versus MN which is a treatment.

AZO Yeast Ingredients -Each tablet contains Boneset (Eupatorium perfoliatum) 6x, Mistletoe Leaf (Viscum album) 6x in a natural base containing Lactobacillus Sporogenes, Cellulose, Lactose and Maltodextrin.

MN - Miconazole Nitrate

...but like everything else, what works for some, won't do crap for others.

Personally, I think it is a longshot. You won't know till you try though. I just think it would not work the same (it so, not as fast at least) as MN applied directly to the scalp. I have read that products applied via skin works differently than internal ones (for some meds). Like progesterone cream applied to the skin works differently then taking progesterone containing supplements internally. Also, AZO yeast is homeopathic right? It is not even the same thing as the active ingredient in MN products. Who knows? But, you won't know until you give it a go and see if it increases growth as MN does. I have used MN before. it made my hair grow faster, but I did not use it long enough to see what the long-term effects are. I did get headaches though. It wasn't for me. :nono:

I have used MN and gotten growth from it before but I am going to continue to take the AZO and see what happens, I know that MN did help with the itches on my scalp also so I guess it won't hurt to give it a try. MY only thing with MN was when I used it straight I did get the headaches but I started mixing it with coconut oil I didnt get headaches.
Well I guess I will snap a few pics and keep using my AZO and I will see what happens in the long run.

Until then I guess I will resume:

The AZO tablets probably have been helping with the itches since they have probiotics. They will fight yeast buildup all over your body. A buildup of yeast in your body can cause itchy patches anywhere just like on your scalp. Not everyone women will get a vaginal yeast infection when their bodies have a buildup of yeast. This happens alot in dogs too. When dogs eat too much of something that puts their yeast balance off, their skin gets really itchy and flakey.

Is it just itchies and no flakes? You can also try drinking keifer to help increase your intake of probiotics and cut your sugar consumption. That is what causes lots of yeast problems in the first place. There is a book I read about this, I can't remember the name of it but let me call a friend of mine and I will get back to you.

I have been meaning to start using mn again along my hairline and tracking my progress. I really want my hairline to fill back in.
