yep! LOL

I can go about 2 week after a touchup with no NG, wondering where it is, waiting for just a teenie bit. And then BAM! It comes full force and let's me know how things are going to be around here from now on!

I'm just saying  Life was easy, smooth sailing up until now. I am bout 9 weeks post and my newgrowth is wildin out! :creatures:bouncegre......I am trying to make it to 12 weeks post but DANG. At first it wanted to be ghost :detective: now its here in full force

Yep this is me :yep: Sometimes I don't see anything for 4 weeks, then it pops up out of nowhere. It kinda throws me off a bit because I have to change how I handle my hair.

I agree! I notice it after washing. It even seemed fine before washing. But after :look:. It's like the NG was just remaining calm until then.

My hair is just laughing at me right now. I called myself lightly flatironing it yesterday and :nono: My hair is like *****, if you are going to try to straighten us out, you need to straighten us OUT!

If it weren't for the fact that Mona and Artemis would beat my behind, I would go slap the creamy crack in on Sunday

OMG I thought I was the only one. I SWEAR up and down that my hair isn't growing, and then around the 6 week mark...:moon: my hair starts to literally show its a$$!!! I have to take care of it a totally different way. I'm like where did all this NG come from???

*I'm at 8 wks cuz.....you can make it a lil longer....I already conceded that I'm punking out at 14 weeks (although I'm going to leave the creamy stuff on for like 5-8 minutes and rinse out)*

*What would Aggie think? :nono:*

*hangs head in shame* I know I know........ Aggie would have my head on a platter and Artemis would threaten to kidnap my joico.

You only leave the relaxer on for 5-8 minutes? Details

Dangggg...snatch up the Joico....wow...

And I don't normally apply for just 5-8 minutes...but for the spring touch up..yup..that's all I'm doing - enough to make the new growth/hair manageable; give some relief to the line of demarcation.

The deep conditioning has really helped tame the new growth, but I would have to do it constantly to stretch all the way until June, so I opted out of doing that.

If I wear my hair out at anytime between April and the summer touch up - it would only be a curly braidout, not straight.

I will leave on longer for summer touch up though. :yep:

I am mad at the spring relief touch-up....you got it down to a science! You are still a Phyto head right? I wonder what other cousins are Phyto heads...maybe I am missing out:look:

Yup, always and forever...it is the foundation in which all other products are built upon in the regimen...

the seasonal touch up schedule seems to have been working well...guess if it ain't broke...

but I decided to ease up on the timing that the Phyto goodness is left on for right now, won't feel so bad about not extending the stretch longer, but I don't want to encounter any setbacks at this point either..

I hear on that. That is my problem now with trying to decide what to do come touchup time in March.

Yup:yep: Im 9 weeks post and my hair is the same way!!! Im not sure what Im gonna have on my hands when i wash and rollerset this weekend. :spinning:

Same thing is happening to me over here. I am too tenderhead to deal with this new growth, so creamy crack it is this weekend. I admit I have wimped out of my first 12 week stretch, but I am ok with that.

I noticed this today. I washed my hair about two days ago, flat ironed it and it was cool. Then today I'm sitting at the light and put my hand on top of my head and was like what the heck I missed this side up. That's when I ran my finger in it and realized that it was new growth that was sticking up like a hill.

Yeah my ng does the SAME EXACT THING!!

In fact, it forced me to drop out of bootcamp because it will :lachen::nono::lachen: hysterically at me if I even as much as THINK about not attempting to tame it with some sort of direct heat. I have to stop roller setting myself around 6 weeks or so post and stick to airdry/flat iron on low, or scarf method roller set and blow out roots to have something decent going on up there!

I still love her though, lol.:yep:

I am 3wks post as of tomorrow and my ng is very much pronounced. I love that tho because at least i know it growing and will continue to flourish.

Want to make ful healthy thick APL by MARCH mth end

Yeah, my NG is a naughty girl like that. :lachen:I am 8 weeks right now and so far so good. I have learned that the better I get with stretching, the longer it takes for her to show out and misbehave. A year and half ago, by now I would be wrestling with her, but these days, I am the boss for at least the first 10 weeks or so. Trust me, some NG get trained like that.

I am about 9 now and I had to wash last night to whip her into shape  I sat it on rollers and ran a flat iron through, just at my roots in some spots and today :happydance: I had to show her that my pimp hand was still strong......get in line **** :slap:

Now that is some funny stuff right there, Gym. Watch me say that to her today when I wash! :slap:

How far did you get?
8 weeks exactly.. I just rinsed out the ORS lye relaxer and have the Aphogee Intensive Keratin Reconstructor on it now for 5 minutes. I will wash and deep conditioner, finished with a roller set under my Pibbs 512. It will feel good to comb through my roots again, my comb has been getting caught the last few days.
