I know its impossible however, I texlaxed my hair in December with Elucence regular two months ago and my hair looks just the same as it did before I used the relaxer. Right after I texlaxed I got my hair rollerset. It was nice and smooth. About a month later, the woman at the shop had a hard time getting it smooth on the rollers. At this point I can't even play myself and attempt to rollerset without the possibility of ripping my hair out. Has anyone experience this...I think next time I am going a lot straighter!

You might just have to relax a little longer (keep the process on longer) or do your applications closer together (like every two months). Eventually your hair will adapt and start to work with the relaxers and take to them a little better and then at that point you'll be able to determine when you want to strech longer. I know that I can't stratch beyond 7 months without my hair breaking off, which it has done plenty of times before because of me stretching. So I would say listen to your hair and what appearance you may want with your hair.

Yeah. I just relaxed my hair three weeks ago tomorrow with Mizani Butter Blends and it doesn't look like I relaxed it at all. I even left it on the maximum time. It was regular but that's what I normally use anyway. I've been relaxing with no lye all last year and the no lye looked a lot better than this. I usually stretch to 12 weeks but I'm thinking of doing another one in 8 weeks. I'll wait a few more weeks to see what happens.

I've never experience this and I both texlax and stretch my relaxers. Do you think it may be attributed to how you deep condition your hair? I know that along with the leave-ins I use makes a big difference in the different ways I style my hair.

This just recently happened to me. I relaxed two weeks from tomorrow and it doesn't even feel like it. My friend said that you're supposed to switch up relaxers or your hair grows immune to it. I don't know how true that is, but i'm not doing it until i here it from a more reliable person. Her hair is always jacked up so i'm nervous about her opinion.

What products is she using? What technique is she using to get your hair straight?

Are you underprocessed?

:lachen::lol: that made me laugh out loud, literally

2 words. New growth!:lachen:I will be 8 weeks post and my WNG is banging!

As far as mine "wearing off" it's definitely not new growth. It doesn't look relaxed at all including the new growth so I don't know what's up with that. That's really not happened to me before.

I believe it's possible because it happened to me...that's why I decided to texlax. When I first texturized everything was nice and smooth but I think that was just because my hair hadn't seen chemicals in a few years. After a while though, despite me still having tons of coils, I could tell that my hair seemed to be reverting. But then again, I was underprocessed too... :perplexed

Who knows :spinning:...all I know is that with texlaxing, I haven't experienced any reversion yet.

Well its my first relaxer in 3 + years so i am defintely not immune. I am going to go straighter at my next appointment. I was trying to go three months for a touch up but its already been 8 weeks and my hair is hella kinky! I cant even differentiate between whats new growth and processed hair!
