I never priced thier products, are the more expensive than other high end products, Mitchell, Keracare, Rusk, etc.??
 
I'm not a stickler for natural ingredients. But the products are mostly chemicals. I thought man made chemicals were cheap.

I can't pronounce that first ingredient, but from the info I found..it's sounds like it would be quite good for your hair:

Linoleamidopropyl Ethyldimonium Ethosulfate
Applications: Provides enhanced combing characteristics and manageability to hair.

Apparently, it's in a lot of hair care products...Aussie, Sebastian, etc. I just did a search on google.

I also found it listed on this website:

It's listed as an anti-static ingredient.

Researching these ingredients is kinda fun! Maybe we could start a thread titled: 'What's in your haircare products?'

Those ingredients are in the CC for Ends. I product that I do like and do believe works like they claim. But I don't think 4 oz. of a product loaded with mass produced chemicals should cost $17. It's a good product. Just overpriced, IMO.
 
I really want to try the CC for Ends, but that price is quite prohibitive. I'm going to send an e-mail to see why it costs so much!
 
It really is a good product. But a little goes a long way. My guess is that they know you're only going to buy one (at the most, two) jars every year or so. I think that's why the price is so high.

I have a cousin who loves it. And she's a real cheapskate.

She's the one who sent me the products from the line that she didn't like. She uses the CC all over her hair.

She also likes the Oil for the Hair for blow drying and pressing her natural hair.
 
They charge all that money...you would at least think they wouldn't mind sending you a small sample...I'm sure it wouldn't be too expensive to put a little bit in a packet so people have samples...it probably would increase their business. In the e-mail I sent...I also asked why they don't send samples...I wonder how soon I'll receive a response.

They need to let people know that those are Wanakee's words because some people may go to the site today for the first time, and have no clue as to who the person with waist length hair is (as she refers to herself on that page).

Or am I comparing apples to oranges?

I said something like, "I doubt new customers will buy products by a has been in a bad wig." About 2 seconds later, I wished I had an "unsend" button... I hoped they wouldn't remember me when several months later I placed an order!

I've never used the CC all over my hair like I do the HHIB. But I think it would be too heavy. On me anyway... Like I said, my cousin uses it as a daily hairdressing on her type 3 hair. The CC alone kept my ends moisturized (I had a lot of relaxed hair the last time I used it). And I didn't even apply it every day!

I'm gonna have to dig this stuff up and try it again...
 
I think you guys should realize that the cremes, esp.ly the Constant Care for Ends are intended for relaxed women who want to keep their hair looking straight and to maintain their ends. Your straightened ends don't revert (get wavy or curly) AT ALL after you apply the creme.

I use these products if I want to maintain or stretch a roller set for a couple of extra days. Putting Profective BreakFree (water-based) on the curls would revert them to frizz, but CC for Ends (like Vaseline but with tiny grains of something) won't. It's a waste (of $$$ IMO) to use CC for Ends after CO washes when I'm airdrying and happy with nappy. I've never tried it.

I can't say if the chemicals in CC for ends strengthens hair, but of course it doesn't moisturize. There's no water in it.

Another funny thing is...their product called OIL FOR THE HAIR doesn't actually contain oil! What's the deal?

I wish I could show you. It looked like one of the demi-wig/quick weave type of pieces. It was loosely waved. But her roots were showing and they didn't match. I don't even think they were the same color!

bump, read the hair tips I found some of the stuff she says questionable, and her stuff is very high priced for a tiny amount. Has anyone recently tried thie products?

yes, I think Cathy is a negative person and down talk people in order to sell her products. I bought her book because my friend hair was growing like crazy from her products....while reading her book I was rolling my eyes and did not agree on alot of things she said in her book...and that is how I found this site because I wanted more answers...but I do use her dew moisturizer and it is good in my opinion and I want to try her creme moisturizer but I don't buy her products because I agree with her...I buy her products because they helps my hair grow.
