*runs into thread huffing and puffing*
*looking for Q, Bre and Luv...cause I know they will understand my emotion right now...yes..there are more important things going on in the world, but this is the hairboard and folks are supposed to understand tales/rants like this...so here it goes...*
Now...I will divulge this fact...so y'all can understand the level of desperation I was feeling about potentially missing out on this sale...
I am a born and raised NY'er....but I can count on one hand how many times my foot has touched a sidewalk in Brooklyn....
I rarely venture outside of Manhattan and if I do...it ain't to BK...
*peace out to Bklyn and all dat, but it's like another state to me...*
I manned up....and went to BK y'all ...to the Target out yonder....
After I finally found my way to the health and beauty aisle...y'all should've seen the slow walk I did approaching the aisle...like I was looking to see if a blind date had shown up at our designated meeting place...
eyes seeking out the brown Pantene colored bottles....I was preparing myself for yet another disappointment...
but lo...and behold....I saw...jars....more than one....two...three....
I had to walk up close to it and look because I thought I was seeing things....
I did a quick assessment and my brain reacted...."Move ****! Move quick...find something quick to load these jars into cause your dumb arse didn't get a cart or basket!"
I literally rannnnnnnnn across three aisles into the home goods, grabbed a wicker basket and ran back to the aisle with the Pantene conditioner.
Yes I did...line the basket up with the shelf and just started shoveling the jars into the basket...1, 2, 3,.....12, 13...14...
This Puerto Rican girl looked at me like was "special"
erplexed
looked again, none left....*job completed*
I hefted my basket in my arms and headed towards checkout...
I must admit that I did not appreciate some of the staring at my lot of conditioner jars on the checkout line
...but wha'eva... only I could truly appreciate the treasure I was taking home
.
I am pretty much straight for the year now. I had 3 jars previously...so I was able to haul in 15 jars of the good, creamy mask during this sale
It was a really beautiful pj moment. I think I felt a slight tear of joy form on the corner of my eye on the train ride home...
*the end*
