Oil for shine?

I have searched and searched for the perfect heat protectant spray but nothing works as well as Kiehls heat protectant cream. I love the way it makes my hair feel on that day and days after. The only problem is that it doesnt give me shine.

I have many sprays, serums and oils but the problem i have is that they put some kind of barrier on my hair so when i moisturize the days after, the moisture doesnt sink in so my hair just dried out.

So what oil or spray can i use for shine without silicones? Doesnt have to be a heat protectant. I have tried jojobacoconutblablabla and it didnt work. lol. Castor would be great but is too heavy.

Thats why i posted it. It didnt work for me. Dries my hair out. Jojoba is nice but it doesnt give it shine.

I mix castor oil with a lighter oil to thin it out and easier to spread.Lately I've been using sweet almond oil, but I think any one will work. Coconut oil makes my hair greasy and hard unless it's mixed with something.

Maybe you should do a rinse. When I give myself a black rinse, it really hold sheen well and reflects the light easier.

Now why didnt i think of this? I actually just bought the avocado oil from shescent it and will try this. Its giving my airdried hair shine so why not flat ironed. I dont want to shell out 10-25 bucks on any avedakiehlswhatever products catching my attention.

I was looking at one of sebastian's rinse thingys. i forget what its called. I believe they have a clear one that has shine.
