I'd used it almost exclusively for a year and by that point it just wasn't wowing me the way it used to. So I started to experiment with all sorts of different conditioners vowing to use them up before I switched to the next (Herbal Essences, 10 en 1, Jason Hemp, The Detangler, Pantene hydrating somethingorother)

Last night I was like "Dammit, I'm going to give this one more shot."

So I went into the Closet of Sometimes Return where I keep the products I'm not currently in love with, or the ones that will break if I leave them for my cat to knock over in the bathroom.

I put it on my dry hair (this is the intensive restructuring treatment) and put some coconut oil on afterwards. I put a plastic cap on my head and putzed about for over 35 minutes as I tried to figure out why the shower my super -just- fixed squealed when the hot water was on.

Fast forward to rinsing it out... my hair is as soft as it used to be and ever so smooth.

I'm totally back in love with this conditioner! :cloud9:

Just bought this line yesterday!! Can't wait, can't wait!! Did you put coconut oil on top of the DR treatment or mix it together?

I have been using the whole DR line and I love it. I alternate between the conditioner and the treatment.

I did not like the treatment that I got at an aveda spa. I did it as a deep condition and I did not like it.

Well I have to use it up because I spent too much money for it.

So I used it according to the directions on the tube, leaving it on for a few min and I really liked it. I loved the way myhair felt.

I am going to use up what I have in that way, but I don't think I will repurchase. Well, after I finish it up and if I notice a big difference without it, I may reconsider. It just cost so much money and I like being heavy handed.

I have not tried the shampoo and conditioner, just the treatment.

How did it make your hair feel using it as a DC? I'm trying to take some notes since I just spent a boatload on this :ohwell:.

I put the coconut oil on top and I didn't use heat at all. Just whatever naturally generates when you have a plastic cap on your head. =)

It felt kind of coated and hard - not in a dry kinda way, though. It just did not feel soft and had no slip. But I liked it better when I used it according to the directions.

I'm sold :yep:. I used DR tonight and I have the softest hair ever. I washed with the DR poo, did an avocado oil rinse then used the treatment for about 30 minutes without heat. My comb out was great (not sure if the oil rinse contributed). I used USC all over my wet hair and its airdrying as we speak. I just love the musky smell of these products!! They remind me of men's cologne :look:

Off to purchase the Brilliant line next.
