What makes hair too lightweight?

I knew it was going too well...for the past two weeks my pretty thick 4a shoulder length hair has not had the heft it usually does. If you know what I mean. Even castor oil and mizani rose h20 leave it sort of cotton light instead of silky and substantial as i was getting used to. suggestions??/

certain products can do that. For me using Terax Crema (the original formula) does this to my fine hair if left in for too long. My hair loses volume but it also dosen't feel heavy (if that makes sense). This poduct really helps with detangling so I still love it.

Once in a while, my hair will feel lightweight, like cotton. I can tell before I get out of the shower after washing my hair that it's lighter. Usually, my hair is very heavy on my back in the shower from absorbing all that water.

That lightweight feeling tells me my hair is too porous (not holding moisture) and I will apply some Porosity Control (leave it on for 30 seconds) to restore my hair to its proper pH. This works for me very well. :yep: BTW, you can find it at Sally's in a very small or large bottle.

So, Isis, after you use the Porosity Control, it feels heavy on your back again? I'm so glad insideout asked this question, because I was wondering what happened to the weight of my hair.
