I'm sorry, I was totally joking. I do this in all the rave threads because I'm the first one to go out and buy something when it's raved about. I'm trying to keep myself from buying anything else.

I'm not sure why you feel guilty because there are hundreds of people that rave about the Pibbs so I don't think any of the comparisons are directed at you personally. *leaving cuz all the pibbzers hate me now*:lachen: Just kidding.

Don't worry. We all knew you were joking..hmmph!!:yep: In the meantime, work that bonnet because you're hair is gawgeous!!!
Anyways, I'll put your name on the list to reserve a Pibbs for you... just PM me before 1/31:lachen:

LOL I knew you were trying to convince yourself because I do the same thing, you know I'm a PJ. Maybe I feel a bit guilty because I'm all up and down this board like I work for the Pibbs company and I ain't gettin' a cut, i'm gettin on my own nerves:grin:

All I need to know is how are you drying all that hair under a soft bonnet dryer?

I just bought one and am not really happy with it because I am not getting fully dried. I am going to get a stand up one now.

I was going to get the pibbs but after ready this I guess the hype is over. I just get a salon quality dryer.

I swear, some of yall are making me feel kinda guilty for raving and professing my luv for my Pibbs. I believe that if a person is doing what works for them, keep on doing it. If I had a dryer that was working for me, I wouldn't kick out the money either. Personally, I can deal with sitting stationary, reading a book, doing a puzzle or whatever chillin under my dryer... I can watch TV too, the Pibbs can fit grey and black too. I LOVE IT!:yep:

ETA:: I don't see what all the comparisons are for... I feel like this is turning into gang wars or something:lachen: We're all on the team to grow and keep our hair healthy... we just don't have to take the same road to get to that destination.

Don't feel bad girl! You know we have to go through the pros and CONS of stuff around these parts. :lachen: We have to look out for each other, and that means keeping it real all the way around about the stuff we try out. :yep: I love my Pibbs too, but I ain't 'fraid to tell folks the downsides of it either. You can't take it personal  This type of thing is what helps people make the best decisions for themselves-- they have to hear the good and the bad. I'd rather tell them the hood may be snug for the supersized rollers and/or larger heads now, than to have 40 more threads talking about "I have a big 'ol dome head and I can't fit under the hood how come nobody told me!" :lachen: Most people WILL fit under the PIBBS with room to spare. It's just when you start venturing over into the coke can sized rollers where the issues might come in.

For me, the bad wasn't nearly enough to make me feel bad about my purchase and most people are happy with their big ol babies. :yep: It's the best dryer I've ever used and I'd buy it all over again, no questions asked. :yep:

Maybe I have a big head, but I've never fit under a pibbs (at the dom salons). The rollers are always pushing out and pushing up against the fan-- I hate that-- make me feel like my hair is getting chopped up. The pibbs has never been fully closed for me. Oh well... still gonna get one.

Girl, you got a dome head then. :lachen:

You're right Glam. I have to update the Pibbs thread, but Tony has decided against call-in orders. The deal is only available as a mail order transaction.

AWWW MANNN!!! :sad:I have been going back and forth with this. When I saw the credit card deal I got excited. But alas, it was not meant to be. Also on the website, the 512 is not available so ordering from the site isnt even an option. :nono: God bless you all.

Yeah, you're right. I dunno... I haven't ran into anything bad about mine yet. Maybe the roller thing will be an issue when my hair gets all long and pretty like yours- you do have me about to try the black rollers though:spinning:. But for now, Onyx is the best thing since pockets on pants! I'm still blown away with drying in 25 minutes!

Ladies!!!!!!!! Did I not mention that I am broke??????????? Why yall have to bring out the ghosts of PJism in me??????????:lachen::lachen:. The pibbs is a commercial salon dryer.

Trinistarr that is cute. I was wondering about the Pibbs as well and think I have a big melon head. I have gone to the Dom salon once before and she used the biggest rollers I had ever seen on top (the black and grey). The Pibbs is this same size right? If so I am good. Like Pokohantas I love my soft bonnet but I wannnnnnnna a Pibbs soooo bad, dang these pj urges, :lachen::lachen::lachen:

:lachen::lachen::lachen: You are trying so hard to convince yourself not to!! Stay strong girl!! *while I sip iced tea and read my book under my Pibbs*:grin::grin: You know the Pibbs isn't just for rollersets... hot oil treatments, braidouts, twistouts, DCing, wet/slicked down ponytails, bantu knot drying, as well as a wide array of things you can do for your hair.
ETA:: Seriously though- I did the same thing as you, the going back and forth about it In the end, I felt like I could benefit from having it. If you feel like you won't benefit from having one, then don't waste the money. Because if you don't use it, that's what it will be, money wasted.

I agree - but for me it was a done deal - I do my hair 99.99% of the time - the only time I may venture to the salon is for a trim and that's maybe once a year. Each week I use my Pibbs it's an investment and I'm on my own time relaxing in my home. Each week it gets better and better ....

Dh going to bank now get my cashier's check. It is a done deal Pibbs 514 come on down for my big head.

The dryer in your picture doesn't look like a Pibbs to me. Is it??

You know I have no idea its just whatever they have at the Domician salon (Harlett's). It may not be though bc I did sit there forever, I hate sitting under the dryer all day. Thus the Pibb envy of drying in 30 minutes is luring me in....

Well, I must confess- I haven't used my Pibbs in about two months. Not because I don't love it or it's not good though. It's because I haven't really fully been into deeply caring for my hair. It's funny that this thread was bumped. I will be firing my Pibbs up and DCing today :yep: I may even do a rollerset...

Don't feel bad. I hadn't used mine in a while either (because I was in braids). Now that I took my hair out last week, I have been under that bad boy like it's nobody's business. I deep conditioned last night with that puppy. I just like the way the air feels on my head (if that makes sense).

:yep: I know just what you mean. I get under there with a book and end up dozing off everytime because it's relaxing.
