What do you ladies use as a DC that detangles, softens and makes your hair shinier and helps prevent split-ends?? I was thinking about Miss Jessie's Rapid Recovery Treatment, but 1. it's expensive and 2. the second ingredient is alcohol. Any suggestions???

Maybe you can try the ORS Replenishing Pak. I've read reviews from natural ladies who said that it detangles and softens. Or maybe you can find ORS Replenishing Conditioner in a bottle, which I think has the same ingredients as the Pak. It's hard to find the bottle, though. I have the pak sitting in my bathroom but I haven't used it yet.

I use Elasta QP Intense Fortifying Moisturizer - it's one of those 'regular' conditioners that can be used as a DC, according to the instructions.

I want to try the caramel treat at some point, but I would need some babyfood.....

I like the Rapid Recovery but I don't think it's worth the price. I use Fantasia IC Deep Penetrating Conditioner. It comes in little packets at the BSS like ORS does if you'd like to try it before buying a whole tub of it. I've also used Nexxus Humectress and ORS Paks. But I like this better.

I also have this. It's sitting behind my ORS Pak. I'll get to those as soon as I finish my bottles of KeraCare Humecto and Mizani Moisturfuse.

ORS replinishing pak has probably been the best store bought deep conditioner in the past. But I love using heated coconut oil as well. Or maybe adding a little honey to any conditioner you currently have.

hmmmm....
what is this "caramel treat" you speak of? it sounds yummy!

I just bumped a thread about it a few days ago - it's a homemade treat, with all sorts of fun stuff in it - let me see if I can dig it up again...

mop extreme moisture is amazing and aubrey organics honey suckle rose is a good one too. i like the extreme moisture on natural hair better though.

Elasta DPR-11
Miss Keys 10 en1

you can find so many equal or better options to Miss Jessie. Hairveda is also really good

now i use palmer deep penetrating conditioner. in the winter i add honey and evoo for extra moisture. i hair is left soft and manageable. loving it.

I use Giovanni Reconstructor followed by Aubrey Honeysuckle Rose. The reconstructor really, really detangles my hair.

Eluence MB. i love the stuff and CON in the purple bottle if they still make it. that stuff worked really good last year when i was using it.

I use Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner. It's one of my favorite products.

Big co-sign on the Kenra.

It's a staple for me.

Can you get Elasta QP products in a regular BSS? I always see that people on this forum use it but I can't find them easily in the store. I also get it confused with the doo grow products sometimes.

L'Oreal's Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture for dry/damaged hair. Amazing softness and shine, plus it smells yummy. I DCed yesterday and I can't stop touching my hair.

ETA: Oops...I am not Natural - just realized. I am texturized.

I'm going to second, third, and fourth the ORS pack. To this day that is the very best deep conditioner I have ever used. :yep:

Joico Moisture Recovery Balm, Elucence MB, and ORS Replenishing are the best hands down, IMO. I've never gone wrong with any of them.
