Does a leave in conditoner suffice as a heat protectant?

Most - NOPE!

I know there are some that double as heat protectants, (i.e. FHI Hot Sauce and that one by Tresseme can't remember the name) but I would not use them alone.

dont you think thats too much product.. to use a leave in and then put a heat protectant over it...?
 
Here is one: LOREAL Natures Therapy Heat Control Leave in Protection Cream. I've seem that one at Sally's.

Oh and the one from Tresseme is called TRESemme Instant Heat Tamer Hair Styling Spray. It is not creamy, but I think it can double as a leave in because of the ingredients.

Not for me. I always have success with it and I always have movement in my hair. But, I do clarify my hair at every wash.

But, my leave in has no silicone in it either and I use it all sparingly.
