I used to do this along time ago, but somehow got out of the habit. Well today I'm getting ready to DC and there's nothing coming out of the Aveda DR treatment tube. So I start shakin' it. I shake and shake and shake (picture trying to shake down a mercury thermometer) and squeeze and squeeze but nothing is coming out. So I got the scissors and cut that bad baby open. There was about 2 heaping tablespoons of product left in there! :perplexed I went from having not enough to more than I needed to DC.

Just thought I'd share.

Ha! Necessity is the mother of invention, huh, Sareca!!! I had forgotten this, too! Thanks for the reminder.

ETA: Seriously lovin' your thickness, lady! WOW!

You got that right baby. That stuff aint cheap.

I ALWAYS cut those tubes open on hair products, lotions, creams, etc. Hmph. I paid for it, and I'm using it ALL up. :yep:

hahaha.

yeah...recently i cut one of my bottles open (sawed it with a knife)
to get the rest out of it.

i think i'm going to be doing this from now on.

This is a good reminder. I don't always do this and I should.

Also, if the mouth is big enough to be able to get water into, I water them down a lil bit, shake up well to thin whatever is inside, and pour it out that way - :yep: - I've gotten the last drop out of MANY a conditioner bottle that way.....

:yep::yep: I keep ax exacto knife in my bathroom just for this. I use a little silicone spatula to scrap out the product.

I keep a pair of trusty scissiors on standby for this purpose...:yep:

Oh yeah, I do the water in the bottle trick too (if the mouth of the bottle is big enough). Girl, we will get ALL of the product. Ok.

Great tip and I do this as well, with hair products and body products. :yep: Good to the last drop! :lachen:
