Hello Ladies,
Happy New year!!
Last year I made a few threads, asking for indivdual experiences from ladies who switched from Regular to mild, many of you give very positive responses, stating that the hair became stronger and thicker. I took the plunge 3 1/2 weeks ago and had my stylist process my hair with mild for 12 minutes, at first sight I was a little horrified thinking that my hair was processed straight. Thankfully, i washed my hair for the first time today and my roots were lovely thick and wavey, full of body. I just want to say thank-you very much for those who have helped to influence my decision, i am eternally grateful. God bless.

Judging by your pictures in your siggy, the switch was definitely successful for you. Way to go Den!

Den, your hair looks nice (as usual)! I know that you were texturized before and you're now relaxed. How long did you wait to process your hair all the way?

Hi Alli Do you mean how long did it take for me to transition to relaxed hair? it took a fewyears because my texturized hair was very long and i had to do a lot of chops and trims. I now leave SE MILD for 12 minutes, as i like my hair to have some wave left.thanks for the compliment, i love your avatar pic.

I am currently looking at switching to a mild relaxer. I currently use ORS Regular no lye and I think it may be too strong for my hair. Will I do any harm in switching from a no lye to a lye relaxer?

Den1, the same thing happened to me! I've given up ORS no-lye for SE mild lye!!

Honestly, I've been contemplating going much, much straighter for a while. So I decided to switch to lye. I've been pretty daring with chemicals as of a few months ago, so I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone do what I've done to my hair to theirs. Anyways, I purchased some SE mild relaxer and applied it to my new growth first and then smoothed it down for like 3-4 minutes (I was grossly under-processed from Cantu Shea Butter's relaxer). After I finished washing each section my hair looked so straight, but when I did a final rinse under the shower head, my head was full of waves at the roots, and waves and curls at the end. I'm a SE user from now on!!

BTW, are you still transitioning to texlaxed?

Den...your hair is lovely. I also use SE mild(lye). I really like the results I got with it.

the results are wonderful, I noticed such a big diffrence after relaxing with it my hair felt thicker, and stronger. So goodbye to relaxing bone straight, SE mild all the way. thanks for the compliment

I think you should be fine so long as you confine to relaxing the newgrowth only.

Hello girl, your texturized tresses are soo gorgeous!!!
yep, I've definately given up using ORS or SE regular. my hair is looking even better. Did the ORS no-lye make your hair drier? i remember using Elasta QP, at first it was fine then my hair got drier overtime. I'm transitioning to a more wavey texture, but not necessarily textlaxed, i wore my hair like this for four years and encoutered to make tangling a porosity problems. I'm stretching my next relaxer for 6-8 months, I cannot wait to see the results of my stretch.
