That good ole $1 Jilbere shower comb from sally's. (Extra wide and wide toothed). Other seamless combs seem to pull my hair out.
I had horn combs, seamless combs, and plastic combs.
Horn combs shredded my hair so bad that my splits had splits. I developed fairy knots (single strand knots) and dryness problems like I have never seen in my entire adult (and adolescent for that matter) life.
Seamless combs came on the heels of the horn combs.
For all their boasting about not having the plastic seam left by the plastic mold, they are made with a type of saw that still leaves raw edges near the back of the comb where the teeth meet the spine. Still rough.
The best comb I have found cost me 80 cents. It is by Hype Hair and although it has a seam, the seam is so flattened that you could scratch it with your nail and almost not feel it. My one complaint is that it is too fragile. My hair is so thick that it pulls back on the comb. The upside is that it reminds me that if I was more gentle, that comb could last me forever.
So there's myHTH before you end up investing up to $100 like I did
. Crazy, I know, but I learned my lesson.
