So last night I did my first wet rollerset in 10-15 years. I get my hair done weekly. Yeah, so it took me five hours total, but it was worth it!

You can see pictures in my fotki in the Hair Growth 2008 folder....let me know what you think!

I saw your fotki. Nice rollersets! Good head of healthy hair. What did you use to set hair? What kind of dryer? How long under dryer? What did use to moisturize & seal, etc?

My steps were

Pre-poo with various oils plus milk and lime (to loosen new growth)
Wash with pantene (that's all i had)
DC with pantene leave-in plus vitamin e oil
rinse
apply leave-in
roll hair with water, leave-in and moisturizer mix
under dryer
saran wrap
style (or at least semi for pics and to see how i like my work)
sealed with castor oil then wrapped up for the night

It took me approximately 45 minutes to roll my hair because I've never rolled it like the mohawk method before. I think next time I may not wrap it overnight (just tie it up with satin scarf)...it took a lot of the curl out and I like the curly bob look. I will probably wrap it as soon as I wake up and while I'm getting dressed...I don't know.

I like this very much!! :yep: Gives me hope.

What did you use to break the curls up before you saran wrapped it? Like did you use a widetooth comb or a paddle brush?

ARR,
What kind of leave-in and what was in your moisturizer mix? You know you gotta be specfic around here..we don't play! All leave-ins and moisturizers are NOT created the same!

lol...i see. I used Motions Nourish Leave-In (trying to use up products I already had) and I used a dollop of vitamin e oil, olive oil and some kind of africa's best (i can't remember the name). Plus while my hair was still wet, I put in my MN mix.
