It always shocks me when someone who's progress i've been following cuts their hair really really short. I'm not here to point fingers (*coughs* MoniGirl) but it seriously caught me off guard.

Anybody have any other shocking moments they'd like to share?
 
Ok I'll name the names
When Sista and locks cut their hair off,I was shocked.
I mean it looks great but I was/am shocked:spinning:

Then the growth from darkempress shocked me too.

Personally I'm shocked by
being close to APl.
shingling my 4a coils into 3c curls
how much difference lies between using Humectress and Suave
 
oh.. yeah those shocked me too. Gurl you had me searching up and down the boards to see if i missed those threads. :lachen: oh well.. i'm tired so i'm going to sleep.

I laughed so hard when I found this thread. Yeap, I shocked many Fotki and LHCF ladies. I promise to post a thread next time before I decide to do something so big. My next drastic change might be going natural. One day.......

BTW, your hair is so pretty and has grown so much. At the moment your current length is my goal length.

Wow MoniGirl that was a drastic cut...
 
When DSD cut her hair super short I was so shocked.....I was thinking she was gonna show up over here with BSL hair one day!

I had a Britney Spears moment.:freakout: I blacked out and when I came to all my hair was in the sink and scissors in my right had.:hair:
:lachen: Just kidding. I was bored with my hair and have always wanted to try going natural since I couldn't stick it out I got it relaxed. It has been growing back so nicely can't wait to post pics in Jan 08. By May or June I should be at my current goal length.:happydance:

I have 2 shocking moments and both involved cuts by....Dontspeakdefeat and Lauren450:eek:

Their cuts look FABU on them....I just had to clutch the pearls when I saw that they'd done:rofl:

:lol: Awww! You guys!!! LOL, so dramatic! :lachen: :rolleyes: ;) Thanks though!!! *hugs*

Basically, it had just become too hard finding my hair photographer. My BFF's (i so hate that term, but for some reason just felt compelled to use it in this specific moment :lol:) father passed away very suddenly right before Christmas and she flew back home to Missouri. She just recently came back and we haven't really spent time talking about hair and things, you know what I mean? I think that helped me make the decision right there, to end the set early. I just didnt have the strength to stalk anyone else in my life to get them to do it. :drunk:

On top of that, I had reached WL, but on 12/31 I decided to do a nice trim (about 1.5 inches) which put me back at a gorgeous, fresh, blunt mid-back length. Despite valiant efforts, my hair continues to thin naturally as it reaches WL. I am determined to keep trimming, bit by bit, until it is a thick (from root to tip) WL. Only then will i be truly satisfied.

Dont worry, im still gonna post pics periodically! :yep: Just not on the same 3 month schedule.

Yes, Lauren's cut devastated me as well. :wallbash: It's still fierce now, dont get me wrong......... but it came as a shock.

Its funny how invested (personally and emotionally) we become in one another's progress, isnt it?!!! :lachen:Gotta love it!!!

Havent seen Dontspeaks!!! Gotta check out her Fokti!!!! :yep:

Yes these were mine too :shocked:

Lauren's hair is still sharp and I love her layers(great tutorial by the way:yep:) But I stopped breathin for almost a minute from being in shock

And countin on Kini's 3 month updates... But its great to know u'll still take some shots every now and then for us..YaY!!

It is funny how we get invested into each others hair.. I think its cute:grin:
