For those of you who use these two conditioners, which one would you rate the best? I know Motions Moisture Plus cost a lot less but I'm just curious.
 
At this point I'm not sure. I use both and they both provide slip and moisture although I have been using Motions a lot longer. I would say they are comparable but for those who are thinking about trying either of these I would go for the Motions b/c it's easier on the pockets and it's easier to find in all sizes. HTH:)
 
Thanks for your response. I think I will stay with my 80 ounce tub of Motions Moisture Plus, since it was reasonably priced at $19.50, and my stylist highly recommended it.

I hear so many comments about KeraCare that I was tempted to try it.
 
If you want to try it you can post it in the exchange forum stating that you would like to try a sample of humecto. That way you can try it to see if you'll like it or not.
 
BUMPING ladies.....I have the humecto and I love it. Got the motions tonight, had an exchange at Sallys. Thanks for any responses:grin:

Yup, I got my 5lb tube for $14.99:grin:...I love it:yep:...I love the way my hair feels so soft and moist...Even after I do one of my Cathy Howse protein condish...My hair is instantly soft again:lick:....
 
Motions really is great for me, but KeraCare is too. I can DC with Motions and use the KeraCare as a leave-in

Keracare is too light to be DCing with for me, and Motions is too heavy to leave in. I have replaced my Motions with Silk Elements though, because they had a 33 oz bottle at Sally's fo 7 dollars--- they really are the same thing IMO
 
Both are comparable to me IMO, but I use the MMP because its way less expensive and much easier to run to Sally's and get. I have some MMP on my head right now :look:. MMP is my deep conditioner of choice right now.
 
I use Keracare humecto (tub). I'm going on my second tub in three years. I love this conditioner but I'm going to try Motions Moisture Plus because Letitia say it's the bomb:grin:
 
I'd have to go with the KeraCare. Motions was ok but I really like Humecto better. It felt like I had extra buildup when I was using the Motions.
 
I have used both and prefer Motions.

Humecto didn't seem to do anything for me. Both the shampoo and conditioner saves my hair from tangles anytime I have problems with my hair. It provides a lot of slip and detangling properties.

Regarding Silk Elements, I have two 33.8 ounce bottles--sale price $5 a piece from Sally's. I haven't had the opportunity to use it alone yet, but I mixed olive oil in it.

This conditioner has the same ingredients as Proclaim Shea Butter, except it doesn't have the shea butter.

How is this conditioner like Motions Moisture Plus? I'm curious because I mixed it with Motions (which is my base), Mane N Tail, shea butter, glycerin, honey, cocoa butter, detangler, an oil blend and anything else that didn't work to a home made mayonnaise conditioner recipe that made my hair too hard, according to my stylist. :evil:

I took it to the salon yesterday, and my stylist didn't complain because it had so much Motions in it that he didn't even notice. Then he threw in some of my Motions CPR. So this is my new mayonnaise cocktail conditioner.:lol:

Anything he rejects will be recycled, unbeknownst to him. I'm not giving anything away or throwing anything out. :superbanana:

I'm just not feeling Motions. I feel like it it doesn't give me enough slip, and it leaves my hair hair silky soft the minute I use it, but the next day it's a hard mess. I feel it's nothing but a tub on water mineral oil and cones...ugh:sad:

Humecto is my boyfriend (hehe) I'ma keep looking abround for my FAVE conditioner but so far Humecto is the best hands downs. It detangles very well and leave smy hair extra extra soft!:yep:

ITA! Motions also gave me a rash and cotton mouth---nasty! Never again. Humecto all the way!
 
the reason I say they are the same is because they look the same, feel the same, provide the same amount of slip, moisturize the same, weigh the same on my hair, and rins out the same. Their ingredients are a little different (these are what I saw as the major differences):

Silk Elements has silk and aloe vera
Motions has mineral oil higher in the ingredients list
Silk Elements smells better
Motions is cheaper
I believe Motions has more collagen (I am not sure if SI has it)
They both have some protein, but from different sources.
Silk Elements does make my hair feel a bit silkier after rinsing it out than Motions does, so that is the main difference, but typically I just get whichever one I an afford because the differences are minor IMO.

:lachen: Again in IMO....I don't they provide any long term benefits. Mineral is a humectant but it also an attract dirt and buildup faster than other humectants and emollients. I don't think they are "devil" products but I think they are best utilized as rinses and not deep conditioners. I think humecto is just over hyped. It you look at what they put in it and then the price tag:nono: Keracare uses some of the most cheap ingredients and then charges you out the wazoo for them and they say that they are devoted to hair science. I don't think every thing with mineral oil is crap because I like motions silk protein conditioner and it has a ton of it in there too. I just don't rely on it to be the end all be all protein conditioner for me. I think people get hooked to them because they make you hair feel good at first but again, I wouldn't rely on them to really give me real moisture.
 
My hair hates motions products, but I have used humecto for a long time. It has better ingredients and is salon quality.
 
I have yet to try the Keracare Humecto, (next on the list) but I have tried the Mosions Moisture Plus Conditioner and I must say that in the beginning it's a great product but later on it weights the hair down extremley.
 
I used MMP twice, I didn't like it--it coats the hair--...I gave it away eventually. I don't think it's a true moisturizer. If your hair likes cones then MMP is def. the answer.
 
IMO, motions isnt even on the same level as keracare.

While i do like the motions, i LOVE humecto and have been using it for about 4-5 years now. It leaves my hair really soft and moisturized. My hair hearts it so... we'll be together foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr LOL
