My last trim was in October (salon) and again in November (at home) & I do NOT like to get trims...My hair has not had any heat on it for a while, maybe a month. I have not had a relaxer since September. So when I wet it with leave ins and moisturizers one lil section always looks raggeddy, weak or dead. What can I do? Do u think Profectiv Healthy Ends would help?

I really don't want to cut it b/c then I will have a JJ Fad asymmetric (not cool) Do you guys think it looks that way b/c its wet and that once I finally reveal my true length and relax and flat iron my hair in a few months its will look better?

:feedback:

Merci! :drunk:

try castor oil

my ends tend to be healthy but frizzy looking sometimes and castor oil helps

BUT

if they look raggedy all the time, I just cut my losses and snip it until it looks good.

Do you wear your hair down alot?

Nope...I wear a protective moist bun everyday....I've been doing this almost all of December. I baggy 3 nights a week. Maybe I am impatient, I only began this LHCF/FOTKI journey on Dec 15th '07. The last time I had heat (blow dryer, flat iron) is Dec 7th. I need to calm down huh? :yep:

Yes give it some more time. It's only been a few days. See how they look again in a month or two and definitely after a retouch.

to also note, someone had a thread about the trimming scissors used. if the scissors are not sharp enough, the ends will get ragged faster.a good trim should last for a long time if the ends are being protected, etc. you shouldnt have to be getting your ends trimmed every month like this, you wont see growth this way. and check the moisturizer you are using to make sure it doesnt have alcohol or mineral oil (paraffin). it dries the hair out. other than that, keep doing what you are doing and it should be fine. if the ends look horrible when dry and you have splits, thats when i would suggest getting a trim.

Thanks Mzhotniz86!! Never thought about that...I just might be doing another " product toss out" this weekend.
