I read some of their other articles as well. I sort of ignore that type of thing because Western clinical data has only been around so long. When you think about millions of people for thousands of years using natural and homeopathic remedies can they ALL really be that wrong?

I take that kind of absolute only Western Science is right attitude with a huge grain of salt.
 
WOW. Why do people thing that something has to be scientifically proven to work...to work? Im using it and it is working. On Black Hair Media Forum, someone posted:

First of all, I tried MTG. And like many of you, I got patches of new hair growth. After being phased out by the funk, I decided to just use the sulfur oil.

Also, you know the ladies that co-wash all the time and get super growth, well here's why.

All the people who have chronic hair loss, usually have some type of persisting fungal or bacterial infection. MTG contains cade oil, which kills this bacteria and fungi. Helping the hair to grow. These nasty bacteria not only block your pores, inhibiting growth but they also can eat your hair! EeeW! so disgusting. (See the links below). They probably also secrete nasty toxins and wastes after they are done feeding off your scalp. They scalp is moist and is a great environment for them to thrive.

Also, look at women of other races. They wash their hair frequently, getting rid of these nasty microbes, and lo and behold, they have long hair. Black women wash less frequently. You ever had that nasty, stinky hair from not washing it, well that is a tale-tale sign that there is a fungus on your head.

Minonazale Nitrate is also antifungal, so it keeps the scalp clean and allows your hair to grow. Use sulfur? Well I just read online today that Fungi hate Sulfur and there is a sulfur containg product called "smelly soap" that is used to kill these fungi, hence MTG helps since it has cade oil and sulfur. By the way, if you are using MTG, u should shake it up to make sure the sulfur at the bottom is getting on your scalp. Well, this is just my two cents. sorry its soo long. Off to wash my hair, again!

The comments are REALLy annoying. Especially the one about "blacks" and how our hair can't grow long and its not as strong. I think the tone of the post made us look desparate and like we would put anything in our hair to make it grow. I won't comment any further.:angry2:
 
Wow, this site is getting alot of attention...

I guess she failed to mention the women on Long Hair Community forum also use this product...

I know the person who asked the question wanted a second opinion. But I don't think the article had the right to bad mouth the forum trying to make the members look stupid. But it's a free country isn't it and I suppose freedom of speech applies to this as well:nono:

i think that black women have such a sensitivity over our hair for sooo many reasons (unattainable beauty standards, etc) that this post really hit a nerve.

the fact that this post has received such an outcry and the fact that this issue is being compared to life or death inventions, like the pace maker and antibiotics really illustrates this…

to me it seemed like this post was written by someone who didn’t quite understand first hand how big of an issue this is for black women, but ALSO i felt no sort of racial malice or anything.

i understood that study in existence did not prove that these cremes equal increased growth. that’s it.

i’ve visited most of these forums in which yeast infection cremes are raved about and long(er) hair obsession is very real. many readers will try anything to achieve growth and they assign a real significance to it.

but, let’s just not lose sight of the fact that it’s just hair!

That's what I got from it too, Byrd... but there is SOME truth to that, though... sadly.
 
Who cares what these narrow minded women think. I remember when the topic of using MN was used here it was greeted with even more criticism and reticule. But when the few brave souls received benefits from using the cream others began to open their minds.

Trust and believe that a few of the "Beauty Brain" bloggers went out right after reading our thread to buy some MN on the sly. And we will probably gain a few new members as readers of this article browse through our forum and notice all the knowledge and results we all share here.

Keep up your MN ladies. If it's working for you go for it.

WOW..you were right I googled and came across alot of faces from LHCF. So much for privacy..but then again we are on the internet.
Does anyone know Tene here on the Forums..her kids pictures came up, and I wanted to give her a heads up. This is crazy. Ladies be careful what pictures you put up, big brother is seriously watching.:nono:

It does. And somebody brought it up as a theory as to why it works a few years ago when people first really jumped on the bandwagon here. I think it was HoneyDew. But we weren't sure the answer. I did try the MN once around that time and I did notice growth but I got too lazy to keep applying it.

Well I hate to say it, but some of us will. Even on this board.

I mean I see it all the time on this board. Let's just admit it, we want whatever will make our hair grow the fastest and will give us the most fastest "visible" result possible. And I say visible because if we don't see our hair getting longer, then we assume that either is not growing or that we are having trouble retaining length.

I'm sorry, but sometimes, the truth is just out there and unfortunately, other people who don't care about us or what we are trying to do can mock us for it.

And this is one of the reasons why it's called a bandwagon idea.

I mean MN might work. But who knows 5 years from now what the affects might be? I mean yes, too each his own, but we as sistas really need to start being alot more careful about what we put on our heads. Regardless of who is talking about us or not.
 
As stated before, many products have been used for other things then what they were origionally intended. There could be effects from mn even if you use it how it was intended it to be used.
 
If it works on people who have been using it....then it works. We are the scientific proof!!
 
These people need to seriously get a life!! All I know that is 2 years from now, when I'm at a function I'ma just be a swingin my midback length MN hair :grin::grin:

Well if it's sensitive enough to put on the vajayjay I would imagine it's sensitive enough for your scalp. But that horsey oil? I couldn't even bring myself to try that. :nono:
