my hair was not soft after the condtioning.

I wanted to switch off to something for next 6 months since I am a Kera Care girl but I do not know to what. My friend convinced me to try Mizani. I know it is a good product but it may not work for me since everything is not for everybody. This experience could have been due to me putting in a hard core protein conditoner but I never had a problem like this with Kera Care Humeto.

Please ladies tell me the truth. The shampoo was great left my hair soft but what about the conditioners. This was my regimen today.

1. Mizani Botanitcal Shampoo
2. Hard Core Protein went under dry for 15 minutes
3. Mizani Hydrafuse Intensive Conditioner went under dryer for 30 minutes (There is less stronger conditioner in there line)

Results - Hair was not soft but in between, kinda hard but I could easily comb it. I am use to it being soft after conditioning. I had to put oil in it right away to get it soft.

Thanks for your input.

Personally.............

I left mizani conditioners alone a long time ago when they changed the moisturfuse formula

Moisturfuse used to have all nice ingredients in it, different oils, herbal extracts, wheat protein and no:nono:

Now some still like it but IMO it is not the same...not by far.

I haven't used any mizani stuff besides the relaxer since.

Thanks for the input because I feel for the price my hair should have been soft regardless if I put in a Hard Core Protein in it or not. I was dissapointed and is planning to return it. I will do my Kera Care for six months or may finally try KENRA. I like to have two lines and use each for 6 months out of the year.

I have Kenra on my head right now

I bought a liter of kenra shampoo and conditioner today at trade secrets for like 25 bucks. If you decide to try it, pm me, I can send you a little to sample first.

Thanks, I have tried the samples in the past and did like it. There is just so many products its hard to decide what to use but I really wanted something other than Kera Care for now so I may do the Kenra.

I've never used Hydrafuse but I use Moisturfuse regularly and I love it! It is my staple deep conditioner. It makes my hair very soft, silky and strong. Anytime I have problems with breakage or protein overload, it always puts my hair back in balance. I tried Mizani fulfyl and I'm not really crazy about it. I've only used it once but I'm afraid to try it again . I'll try it again one of these days.

Thanks!! The hydrafuse is suppose to be stronger than the moisturefuse this is why I am confused on why it could give me slip after a hard core protein treatment.

Yeah, go for the Kenra. It's better than most (even better than Keracare IMO - I hated that stuff :sekret:)

ITA with you on the mizani hydrafuse. I have a large bottle andhave used it maybe twice even though I've had for about a year. I like mizani moisturefuse wayyyyyy better. Now I think I may have to pre-poo with my hydrafuse mixed with jojoba oil. I'll see how that works, you never know, I might fall in love with it used this way.

Thanks I may have to do the same thing. The store I brought it from only does store credit. I still may exchange for something. I am on the fence with KENRA.

I tried the Moisturefuse before and believe me--it was nothing to write home about. It couldn't touch my KeraCare with a ten foot pole.:nono:

Thanks for input, I justed need to hear you ladies say it. I very disappointed but I know how to fix it.

I love my Mizani, but I can't defend Hydrafuse. Shoot, it doesn't even work all that great with Kerafuse! Now Moisturefuse?! That is the love of my life!! I believe Kera/Hydrafuse works best after relaxers. From my understanding, each one is pure moisture and pure protein-- both of which is hard to believe. I suggest doctoring it up, which is what I may do later on...

I hear what you are saying but my product is suppose to be step up from Moisturefuse. It is in the white bottle and says it is INTENSIVE Moisture. I decided to take it back and I am trying KENRA.

i LOVE my moisturefuse :) i even broke bad and bought it in the tub size :lick: never tried hydrafuse though so i can't speak on that....sorry it didn't work for you :(

im not familiar with mizani conditioners. whats the difference with the hydrafuse and the hydrafuse? Because they both sound like they hydrate and moisturize the hair? Do both of them have mineral oil?

Hydrafuse is more stronger than Moisturfuse but it still didn't do anything for my hair. They both do hydrate and moisture. I took it back to the store and not sure if it had mineral oil but it did have other natural oils in it like cocunut.

I actually liked hydrafuse, i use it all the time and i can agree it doesn;t have "slip" but with continued use it really hydrates my hair. I use it as a leave-in as well. I like.....

Yeah, I'd say that my hair looks good and is moisturized once my hair's dry. But the lack of slip sucks. My hair's kinda tangled and takes forever to comb through it.

I know what you are talking about-- I commented because I have used the product! I don't like it. So it's probably best that you're returning it if you don't like it, either.

I think that the protein might have been what did it. However, if you want ot switch off of Mizani, then go for it. Girl, do what works for you.

I think that the Mizani moisturising conditioners are not enough to give slip after a hardcore protein treatment or even a medium. Try it on its own before giving up completely on it... or if you do it after a protein, try extending the time you leave it in for.

I was thinking about doing what you mentioned but since the conditioner was their strongest moisturizer I thought it would work. I started to keep it and just use it for what you mentioned but I am so use to Kera Care Humecto that does the trick every time regardless if I do a protein or not. But thanks for you input we were thinking on the same page.
