wash hair with conditioner only - no shampoo, shampoo drys the hair out. Which makes it an unhappy growth area. HTHs

I'm using Keracare's Humecto. :grin:Then I sit under the dryer for 30 minutes qith a plastic cap over my head, or if I want the effects without heat, I leave the conditioner on for an 1 hour and wash it out. The indirect heat personally makes my hair feel softer and more managable though.

part my hair into six sections- apply suave coconut or milk and honey or Diolage detangling, or humectree conditioner to each section like it was shampoo- scrub my scalp and work conditioner through to the ends, wait two minutes then rinse out . After that I do my deep conditioner and then style into twists.

I'm not doing this now cause of the AAA challenge and the hair tea doesn't strip my hair like so many shampoos do. With the hair tea though I do not manipulate my hair in any way.

I do this too..I use Lekair Cholesterol condtioner...I section my hair in 4 puffs and detangle each section with a comb after I wet and apply conditioner...I don't wash out the conditioner until after I use my heating cap for about 20 minutes...then I wash out.

I use Kenra MC most of the time. I part my hair into 4 sections and apply the conditioner evenly through each section.

I just mix my con of choice with a little water. About 1/3 water to 2/3 con. I pour it liberally over my hair and rinse.
If I am needing more of a "wash with my cowash, I will pay special attention to my scalp and make sure to scrub the scalp before rinsing.

Great I was wondering if anyone else used a Heating Cap. I love mine.

Do any fine haired ladies do well with co-washing? When I tried this I found it necessary to clarify to prevent frequent buildup.

You are one of my hair idols

I do my cowashes pretty much the same way. I am not particular of the conditioner. Suave, Tresemme, V05, whatever ihave on hand. Even during the winter i cowash in the mornings or, if i want to do a twistout i cowash at night.

I forgot to put what conditioners I use. I first put conditioner on my dry hair at nighttime before bed - silicone mix with olive oil mixed in( I microwave for 45 seconds). The I put on a plastic cap and a scarf ( I do four princess leyah buns) then in the morning I wake up rinse in the shower then wash with Ms. Keyes 11 en 1 while I'm soaping up I let it sit on my hair (3 minutes tops) then I rinse. Jump out the shower wring hair out - never use a towel and add my liquid leave-in, then my creamy then I seal. I started doing this every three days at the beginning of this month. I have about 1/4 inch ng so far.

ETA - I alternate the Silicone Mix with Alter Ego Garlic every time I wash.

When I get in the shower, I get my hair nice and wet, then I dump conditioner on my head and massage it in for about a minute. Then I put my hair in a ponytail on top of my head while I finish taking my shower. After I'm done cleaning myself off, I rinse out the conditioner. When I get out of the shower, I put on my leave in and put my hair back in a bun

Right now I'm using Suave Naturals Aloe Vera and Waterlily (or something like that :)) And I love this one more than the other Suave Naturals conditioners that I've tried. I also use Silk Elements Luxury Moisturizing Conditioner
