to help you achieve your LHCF goals?

Ill start it off...
The best appliance is my hair steamer- it provides warm moist heat to my dry parched hair.

Second my hair dryer . I can sit here at my computer with conditioner in my hair and my mind and hair get nourished simultaneously.

Your Turn

Hmmmmm

My hard bonnet hair dryer...without it...no deeeeeeeeeep conditioning. :nono:

The blow dryer...well, I can air dry and my Caruso's aren't absolutely necessary but I like them.

That is all. :look:

do u steam ur hair with a steam cap or with one of those machines similar to the ones in the salon?

My ion ionic hard bonnet hair dryer. It's great for deep conditioning, rollersetting, or anything I can think of, lol!

It's a tie between my Pibbs and my Solia flat irons. :yep: My Pibbs for deep conditioning reasons (plus he just so sessy...) and my Solias because I love them to DEATH!

I don't own too much else. I have a blowdryer but I don't use it a whole whole lot (only when I'm trying to wear my hair straight and I'm like 7+ weeks post).

My Rusk CTC Lite Blowdryer

I have FHI, Solia and H2Pro flatirons, and those are great and important to me, but my Ruck CTC Lite is ALL THAT!

I'm watching this thread. I need a new hand held hair dryer (one that I can easily find the comb attachment to) and I new a new flat iron (one similar to a maxiglide). HELP!

The Pibbs! Hands down. I love sitting at my desk or table working (or surfing) while my hair is rollersetting or DC'g.

Exactly what she said :yep: Plus, with my low heat lifestyle, I've pretty much rendered all my other appliances obsolete!

If best means I like the results I get, I would have to say my microwave oven. I have the following:
  • Maxiglide (used it once, hair was a massive fro and couldn't get ends straight. I roller set first and it still didn't give me the look I wanted.
  • Pibbs 514 (I liked it for the quick roller set, but that took a lot of work on my natural hair and I haven't used it since. The roller set didn't come out smooth event though I used roller covers and as stated above it didn't even come out right followed by the maxiglide)
  • FHI Flat Iron ( Just purchased. Haven't tried it yet and now my mom wants it.)
  • Gold N' Hot Blow Dryer (Never used yet, but my BFF who is white loves to use it. She likes how the rectangular surface dries more hair at the same time. I will keep it here for when she visits. Glad she likes it)
  • Microwave Oven (Each week I do a Deep Conditioning treatment. I make a mix of conditioner, oils and honey. After mixing well, I heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. Then I apply to my hair in sections like a relaxer (as if I am relaxing from root to tip). I put on a plastic cap and just lay around for 1 - 2 hours and then I detangle. My hair feels like silk and then I rinse. It makes detangling natural hair so easy so the microwave oven gets the :cup:
Maybe one day I will take the time to use my other tools. I am sure they work, I just need to practice with them. I only get the urge to straighten my hair every blue moon anyway so it may be a while.

I like my two hooded dryers. I have a table top dryer for my house that I use and I have a salon dryer that I keep at my parent's house. She loves that one. Hands down, they are my two favorite items besides my redkin conditioners.

Hooded hair dryer. I have a Pibb-like dryer that I got on ebay but it doesn't get much use since I am never home(always at SO's house). But I have a soft bonnet that is effective and makes dc so much easier.

I have very few appliances, just two I think. The Caruso is the best for special, quick styles and I always take it when traveling. It's perfect in hotel rooms or even airport restrooms, if necessary. :yep:

Isis I will have to agree! :yep: How did I forget about my baby!? I do take my setter with me out of town and it come through for me everytime. I do love my setter and I would have never thought to purchase is I had not heard about it here.

You are soo right about that, I remember the infomercial that the setter used to have back in the day. I used to watch it and think that would not work on my hair! But from reviews here I bought one back last Spring, and I adore it. I even purchased one here from the exchange board for one of my friends so she can stop using her curling and flat irons!!

So my faves would be:
1. FHI Flat Iron
2. Caruso Hair Setter
3. CHI Flat Iron
