Im sorry might sound stupid but what is that, sounds a little gross, but it looks like it's good for the hair??? :look:

Anyone?

Okay so it really is from that kind of placenta?? I thought maybe it was something else:look: thats really gross... how do they even make that, never mind :nono:

I know in some cultures they keep the placenta and most of the after birth to cook with.

[SIZE=-1]Some Polynesian and some African and Asian cultures. I learned about it in school. Its against the law in Hawaii

So what's the verdict, is it good for hair?

It's animal placenta right?...Not human.

Hey, assuming you're not a vegeterian or vegan you eat dead animal carcasses so why not put placenta in your hair. I loves me some chicken so I won't hate on animal placenta. :lachen:

I read one thread where someone said that some of the placenta containing products were carcinogenic though so you might want to search that. I'm in and out of studying otherwise I would do it for you.

In the Dominican section of the BSS, I saw whale sperm oil and I wondered about it also.

usually it's horse or cow afterbirth. same kind of stuff they put in hask's henna and placenta, which i hear is a product that some people swear by... :perplexed

I'm pretty sure it will grow you some hair and a uterus full of fibroid tumors and who knows what else.:nono:

ETA--I would use the sperm before the placenta  :ohwell:

I read somewhere that placenta is full of hormones & has NOT been ruled out as a cancer causing element. Since the verdict is still out, and it seems that a lot of products that contain it are marketed to black people, I steer clear.

The whale sperm isn't actually whales' sperm; rather I heard it was named that way as a function of translation from spanish to english...it is actually Sperm whale oil.

I am against whaling for anything so I won't ever use that product.

The stuff containing mink oil bothers me too, but I haven't decided whether or not to completely ban it on my shelves yet.

It is not sperm from a whale, but oil from the Sperm Whale.

Bleh at the idea of whale spooge in my hair!

Why is it called sperm if its oil?? do they like want people to think its gross..
even if its oil, your right its still gross.:ohwell:

Sperm whale = one species of whale
Like the above poster said it was translated from spanish that way. the words are just inverted. like we say in english blond boy , but in french blond boy= garcon blond, literally boy blond. HTH

Yeah, well how do you say "no buy" in spanish? Because that's exactly what's gonna happen..."we no buy" until they invert that darn name for people who speak English.
