Is how to use up conditioners I wasn't too crazy about via pre-pooing.

Another excellent tip is now to deep condition with moist heat via a turbie towel.

Awesome!

Thanks Macherieamour!

Does anyone else get tips that they just really appreciate recently?

Best 2 tips I learned this year

1) Prepooing with alma oil for newgrowth control

2) Coating previously relaxed hair with conditioner or oil before relaxing

1. Chi Silk Infusion
2. Oil Pulling

Honorable mention: Face conditioning

1. Trim hair only when dry....Thanks Sistaslick

2. Flex rods can create beautiful curls and are much easier to sleep in than magnetic rollers:up:

ETA: cosign on the oil pulling!!

to use oils (jojoba, coconut, amla) to soften my NG, makes it more manageable
to cond wash and to reduce poo usage

There's far too many tips to recall here, but if I had to state them, they would be:

1. Protective styling
2. Moisturizing and sealing the ends properly

This year, I've learned to:
  • Coat previously-relaxed ends with oil to protect them from "relaxer runoff"
  • Detangle my hair while it's still dry, before washing

I JUST JOINED THIS WEEK AND YOU LADIES HAVE ALREADY TAUGHT ME

  • PREPOOING
  • HOW TO MOISTURIZE AND SEAL ENDS
WHERE HAVE U GUYS BEEN ALL MY LIFE " I'M SO HOOKED" :spinning:

  1. Oil rinses (they keep my hair moist for days, help with curl definition and detangling)
  2. Low manipulation (using the comb is like using thinning shears )

Stay the :censored: away from STYLISTS!!!!!!!!!!!

:lachen::lachen::lachen:You're too funny, Anky. But DAAYYYUUUUMMMM, Girl! Your hair grew back FAST!!!! What in the world are you doing??!!?!?!!

Back on topic: yes, staying away from most stylists has saved my hurr fo' sho! :yep:

1. Air drying with my hair hanging instead of in a ponytail. (less breakage)
2. Re-visiting Giovanni Direct Leave In after reading so many great reviews. It has become one of my staple leave ins. :yep:

Definitely the protein moisture balance. This willl make or break your hair.

And the importance of protectign the ends while relaxing.
