Hello LHCF,

Im a :newbie: w/a question :)))

Can someone advise me of what Texlaxed is? Is this were u use a No-Lye versus a Lye?????

Thanks in advance.

Cid

The only difference is the degree of straightness.

Texlaxing means relaxing anything less than 90% straight I think.

Welcome!
Texlaxing means relaxing the hair (lye or no-lye) for less than the recommended time so the hair is not relaxed bone straight. Some of the ladies leave it in for 5 minutes and others leave it in a little bit longer, depending on one's hair type. I leave mine in 10 minutes, which includes smoothing and application. In my experience, leaving some of the natural texture in the hair leaves it stronger, healthier and thicker.

I needed to know this too! Thanks for the making this thread... I was doing this before LHCF..who knew I was texlaxing all along
